there’s still no threat to his starting job, he’s still a very talented former first overall pick and had he played 16 games last year would have lead the league in yards passing. And now he’s improved the weapons when he gets back and misses the toughest part of the schedule.
I was just listening to NFL Channel 88 on Sirius, and they were saying that there's speculation that Tampa's ownership could actually decide to cut him after his suspension is over, if they don't like what they're seeing and hearing from him. That they don't want to be on the hook for his 5th year option, which is guaranteed for injury, should he have another off the field incident, and that they also have to decide whether to commit to him with huge money long term or go after someone else instead.
I thought it was obvious prior to the 2015 draft that Jameis had something akin to a screw loose. Just a laundry list of issues that added up to one large red flag. He was always much more likely to become a repeat offender [of anything unlawful or antisocial related] than he was to flip a switch and immediately see corrected behavior, especially when he was basically allowed to get away with everything.
Or as Eli's successor. Or Rivers Brees or Ben or Bradys successor. Or he just walks in to Denver and takes the job in 30 seconds. Same with Jacksonville. See...i just gave you a quarter of the league where he immediately steps in and is starting either immediately or once the guy in front of him retires all of which are likely happening within 2 years. That says nothing of teams like Buffalo, NYJ, Arizona, Chicago, Baltimore, Indy, Miami whose QB situations are not settled as they either recently drafted a QB or have injury issues at the position.
I only had one pick, in the middle of the third round last year. Looking forward to this one a lot more!
With the first pick in the 2018 Armchair Dynasty FF League Blunt Force Trauma selects... Any body want to guess??? My minds been made up for months, I'm not going to trade the pick unless a Herschel Walker deal comes along. You won't win anything but the glory of being right. Who's it going to be???
Trade block: Elijah McGuire - 3rd. (well worth it, as he's projected to be the 3rd down back and is loved by NY's running back coach.) Sam Bradford - 3rd Tom Brady - 2nd Chris Hogan - 2nd..... or two 3's Ricky Seals Jones - 2nd. (huge upside in a full time starting role, arguably greater fantasy upside than any TE in this current draft class. Kid was a 5-star recruit out of high school, #24 overall. Aggies should've had him at TE all along.) Quincy Enunwa - 3rd. (great chance of being NY's top receiver)
I might make that deal for Brady just on the hope he suffers from the Puka Head Fantasy curse and gets knocked out for the season in game 2
E-mails should have been sent out to everyone to re-new their membership. I still need to invite adamprez once I get his e-mail. Basically what happens next is we do the draft (I think we were planning on starting it in a week or so), we trim down our rosters to 25 players (IIRC), and then I manually input the rosters into Yahoo. Once that is over, you have one or two days to claim free agents with your $100 free agent budget (you'll do this via Yahoo) and it's business per usual.
Could be, but I think that the whole identity of the Cards offense is TDB, and won't really be clear until around this time two years from now.
?? The Cards are still going to throw the ball roughly 500 times this season (it was 598 last year).......... and with that shoddy WR corps, there's ample opportunity for a talented athletic TE like Seals-Jones to make his mark. More importantly, we know that Zona's new OC Mike McCoy likes getting his tight ends involved.
If you want NY’s actual top WR and overall WR#18 from last year entering breakout 3rd year, Robby Anderson is available. Gonna cost more than a 3rd though
It’s the Jets...we hope they catch 0 passes for 0 yards and 100 picks this year and a 70-0 beatdown both times they play Miami....I’d probably give a 2nd and Blake Bortles if you can make that happen haha
I'm sure he'll be a hot commodity in a couple weeks when the league opens. You should definitely bid at least $50 on him.
Any teams with TE/WR needs looking to make a deal? Kupp, Anderson, Sanu, Taylor, Eifert, Gathers and others available. Let me know what you'd be interested in dealing. Looking for picks mainly, but the right RB would spark some interest, too. Thanks!
Hot deal of the day!! Chris Hogan + Ricky Seals-Jones for a 2nd rounder Quincy Enunwa + Elijah McGuire for a 3rd rounder Tom Brady + Hogan + Seals-Jones + McGuire + Enunwa for a 1st (can be a 2019) + a 3rd........ or a 2nd + a 2019 2nd.

Make some offers, looking to get back into this year's draft. Only pick available next year is 2nd rnd. Let's get some discussion rolling....thanks to those who are already working with me to shake the landscape up!
I think that we have a situation where everyone wants as many draft picks as possible, and no one wants to give many up for players. Lots of sellers and no buyers, so to speak.
Looking to acquire more picks in rounds 1 and 2 and move up in both rounds. Picks I own: 1.05 2.10 3. 5,7,10,12 On the block for picks...make offers via PM. I’m open to all kinds of deals 2-1...player and pick combos. Fire away... 1st round QB Ben Roethlisberger QB Jameis Winston RB Alex Collins (ill give Buck Allen as well so you have his handcuff) RB Jamal Williams + Ty Montgomery 2nd round (Possibly willing to include a 3rd round...maybe 2 depending where in rd 2) RB Duke Johnson QB Blake Bortles RB DeMarco Murray RB James White RB Joe Williams TE Austin Hooper (Just added...top 1/3 of rd 2 preferred) 3rd round pick WR Trent Taylor
You made me look up who Joe Williams is. He looks to be burried pretty deeply on the 49ers depth chart.
