    So after winning our league last year for the first time in 16 years, here is my new team going for the repeat

    QB DeShaun Watson
    QB Jimmy Garrapolo
    RB Saquon Barkley
    RB Melvin Gordon
    RB Kenyan Drake
    RB Alfred Morris
    WR Demariyous Thomas
    WR Jarvis Landry
    WR Josh Gordon
    WR Piere Garcon
    TE Jimmy Graham
    TE Mike Gesicki
    K Jake Elliott
    K Jason Sanders
    D Los Angeles Rams
    D Carolina Panthers

    Thoughts ??? i really had no intention to pick Jarvis Landry but when he was still staring at me in round 8 i could not resist, i was hoping for Marquise Goodwin on my way back, but he got poached and then i had another Brown in Josh Gordon staring at me in Round 9 and i could not resist either.

    WR that are still available Jamison Crowder, Kelvin Benjamin, Devin Funchess, Robert Woods, Kenny Stills, Will Fuller, Sterling Shepard, Kenny Golladay, Nelson Agholor, Keelan Cole

    RB that are still available....well there is nothing really, Matt Breida is there and Ronald Jones II, Duke Johnson (but no way i´m picking a 3rd Browns player...lol), Isaiah Crowell, Chris Thompson

    I assume it's a 10 person league? Obviously you have great RB's and QB if Watson returns to what he was doing last year. WR's I would say is the weakest part of your team, especially if its standard scoring, in PPR its passable. I simply don't trust Landry and D.Thomas to be top scoring WR's outside of a PPR format. With Thomas its more of lack in the QB position, and I don't see Keenum replicating his performance from last year.

    I know it's the homer in me but I love Stills, I'd take him in a heartbeat over a backup kicker.

    Overall I think Morris and Breida will be about even in points. Morris is probably favored in Standard scoring and Breida favored in PPR.

    Also note if PPR scoring, before injury last year Chris Thompson was on pace for 64 Receptions for 820 receiving yards and 6.5 TD's (plus 470 rushing yards and 3 rushing TD's)

    I tended not to do fantasy as it's a bit time consuming but I entered a league last year and won it after leading for most of the season.

    This year, I'm keen to hang onto my crown so the Dumplings are back and I've also entered a second team in another league run by the same people.

    Dumplings are a bit light on backs and Dumplings Reserves are back heavy but light on WR's. It's a standard format, 10 team league. Any thoughts? Tips?

    Miami Dumplings

    QB Aaron Rodgers;
    QB Sam Darnold

    RB Chris Carson;
    RB Latavius Murray;
    RB Chase Edmonds;
    RB Nick Chubb

    WR Antonio Brown;
    WR Stefan Diggs;
    WR Danny Amendola;
    WR Jamison Crowder;
    WR Ritchie Anderson

    TE Greg Olsen;
    TE George Kittle

    K Jason Sanders

    DEF Miami Dolphins

    Miami Dumplings Reserves

    QB Tom Brady;
    QB Jimmy Garoppolo

    RB Todd Gurley;
    RB Carlos Hyde;
    RB Peyton Barber;
    RB Marlon Mack;
    RB Matt Breida;

    WR Demaryous Thomas;
    WR Devante Adams;
    WR Michael Gallup;
    WR Mike Williams;

    TE Rob Gronkowski;
    TE Eric Ebron

    K Stephen Gostowski

    DEF Jacksonville Jaguars

    Ideally id like a wr upgrade but it may come from within if Jordy or Edelman have anything left or Golladay or Shepherd breakout.
    10 team
    .4ppr (start 3 wr)
    15 yards per pt for wr/10 for rb (offsets ppr value for catches with no yardage)

    QB: Rivers (Goff)
    RB: Kamara, McCaffery (Michel)
    WR: Baldwin, Hogan, Shepherd (Jordy, Golladay, Edelman)
    TE: Burton (Gesicki)
    Flex: Drake
    K: Buchter
    D: Bears

    WR: Baldwin, M. Jones JR., Kupp, Stills, Gallup

    Not bad though wr2 may be weak. Jones is a better real life wr then fantasy (esp in ppr) due to low touch totals...i think stills is tje best bet there or Kupp. Im guessing Mixon is the flex? Not crazy about that...dont like him at all, never did. But if im wrong its not a bad team

    Yeah I kinda panic picked Mixon there was a huge run of WR's right before my pick 7 or 8 in a row, the next WR available would have been Thielen or Diggs, I do like Thielen and probably should have taken him instead especially since I ended up with Cousins I always like to pair a QB/WR on my teams.

    But i do like Mixon, I think he's good catching the ball out of the backfield, and he's been lining up at WR a bit too in the offseason. Plus there is no Jeremy Hill so he'll have a bigger workload.

    I have no issues with your team. I tried targeting Edelman in my leagues but he was taken earlier than I wanted. He's obviously Brady's top target once he gets back in week 5. I also think Shepard is a fine flex player, especially if he gets the number of targets he had in his rookie year and his YPR last year.

    I've dropped WR's Crowder and Anderson from the Dumplings and picked up FA's Michael Gallup and Mike Williams. I expect them to pick up from wk 3 onwards so they're just bench warmers for now. Anyone any thoughts? I had Williams for a bit last year but he was injured for the most. I remember seeing him play for Clemson a few times and liked what I saw. I have them in both teams now.

    Your reserves team is solid all around.

    As for your first team its really good outside of Running back.. your RB's are rough. not sure you can do much there unless you try to trade. Chris Carson is listed as the #1 RB in Seattle but he'll be sharing touches with 2 other RB's. Murray is maybe worth a Flex spot Dalvin Cook is going to get the majority of the touches. I dont think Edmonds will take snaps away from D. Johnson and Chubb is locked behind Hyde and Duke J. With that line up you're really playing with fire and hoping for injuries. If Injuries happen to any of the guys ahead of your players then you're good.

    I would send mike williams back to waivers and go get crowder back. Hes their best wr and alex smith is going to complete passes to someone. Gallup is a lottery ticket...personally im not a believer but the same advice i applied to crowder can be applied to Gallup.

    I agree with Boik about Mike Williams. He’s the #4 WR it would be like starting Albert Wilson. If you want to stash him maybe he’ll break out otherwise I think crowder would be a better choice.

    Cheers guys. I got lucky last year - for a short while anyway - by picking up Dalvin Cook and Carson off waivers but it seemed I jinxed them too... I'm always looking for a diamond in the rough to polish. :smile:

    Diamond in the rough candidates:
    David Njoku
    Kenny Golladay
    James Connor
    Bilal Powell (In PPR leagues...hes earned at least a time share, im thinking Duke Johnson last year stats)
    Dante Pettis (could overtake Garcon later in the year)

    Pretty strong. Is Andy Dalton available? If so I'd keep him on speed dial if Carr or Luck start off slowly. I'd bet money that he's in for a big year if his surrounding cast can remain healthy. He was totally on point this preseason, in what could be a high octane offense.

    Disagree on Dalton and the Cincy offense. Pure trash all around aside from AJ and he’s on the wrong side of 30. They’re back to the Bungals. If they were smart they trade AJ for a few picks and start the rebuild. Very overrated team.

    All taken by others except Pettis, Boik. Do you think that Pettis is likely to bring more to the table than Gallup or Williams then?

    I did about 20 mock drafts and not once at the 10th pick. Of course, I got the 10th pick in my real draft and didn’t expect the board to fall the way it did. How do y’all think I did?

    QB: Luck

    RB: Melvin Gordon
    Christian McCaffrey
    Kenyan Drake
    James Conner
    Mark Ingram
    Marlon Mack
    Nick Chubb

    WR: Josh Gordon (I’ll never give up hope)
    Marquise Goodwin
    Corey Davis
    Julian Edelman
    Tyler Lockett

    TE:Njoku

    My WRs are a worry for sure. I have faith in josh Gordon to exceed his draft position. Hoping Marquise Goodwin returns WR2 results. I should also pick up a decent QB and drop Lockett. Waiver wire is full of decent options like Tyrod, dalton, Goff, Dak, and Alex smith.

    Id keep lockett for one. They just paid him, hes locked in at wr 2 and seattle isnt going to be very good imo, prob around 500 which means lots of passing for wilson. Graham and Richardson are gone so someone is getting those targets and they cant run block very well...

    How many teams is it? Ppr? Any scoring differences from standard leagues? Impossible to evaluate mich without that...

    Id prob try and flip connor to whoever has bell, maybe throw in mack or ingram with it for a stud wr. I like gordon but im not betging on him for fantasy, hes disappointed too many times. Also not as high on Corey Davis as many because i dont think mariotta is a very good qb

    Standard scoring across the board. 10 teams. I never liked PPR.

    That was my reasoning for using the 14th rounder on Lockett. However, I just don’t think he’s very good. He’s worth hanging onto for a few weeks I think.

    I’m not sure about packaging Mark Ingram for a WR1 unless it’s a top 3 guy because Mark Ingram is an RB1 and I have the depth to wait on him. I’d move Conner for something worth my time, but I honestly think bell sits out the 10 weeks and James Conner blows up. I love the player.

    Mariota sucks, I agree. But I love Corey Davis’ game, and Tom savage is even more garbage than Mariota and we all know who was the WR1 last year.

    As for Gordon, fantasy is just more fun to me with him on my team. I think he has a great year.

    I wasn’t high on CMC last year (I loved Kamara and drafted him last year) but I honestly think CMC is a top 12 RB this year. Higher in ppr. I took him at 11.

    How do you like marquise Goodwin and Kenyan Drake this year?

    Goodwin can really go either way. Im monitoring him and Dante Pettis on SF. I like Drake a lot as you can see by my team on post 1289 where i took Drake rd 3. Part of that may be phins shades but he should get 18-20 touches a game.

    Mccafferey and Kamara were my 2nd and 1st round picks in that same post. The only thing i worry about with Kamara is TD regression as his percentage of TD relative to touches was double every other back last year.

    Gordon and Davis you have your mind made up on. I like Davis the player, i dont like his situation.

    I said Ingram because he will probably carry the most value to get you that wr upgrade. Youre not going to use him but for a bye week or 2.

    I had 2 trade proposals for marquise goodwin on draft night. I like him this year, I think he can be a 1000 yard 6 TD guy.

    I’d say my mind is made up on Josh Gordon, sure. I roster him every year lol and I’m not about to let this talented beast not be on my roster when he’s finally sober and with a decent QB. As for Corey Davis, no my mind is not made up on him. I’m not sold on him in that offense, but in the 8th round after I go RB heavy to start the draft, I need a high upside guy. Probably gonna start him over Goodwin due to Goodwin going up against Xavier Rhodes tomorrow.

    I’ll hold Conner for a few weeks and hopefully he blows up like I expect him to and perhaps turn him into a WR1 from a RB weak team. I’ll have Mark Ingram coming back around then, and choosing between Mark Ingram and Kenyan Drake as a flex is a good problem to have.

    BTW Kamara and CMC is money especially if you’re in a ppr league.

    What do you think about dropping the Denver D and picking up the Dolphins? I'm big on the D this year but I do wear aqua tinted spex so I'm kinda holding off at the moment...

    I'm in a bind, I know I'm not that active in this section but I don't know where to turn.

    Currently starting:
    Cam Newton
    Kenyon Drake
    Jordan Howard
    Keenan Allen
    Damariys Thomas
    David Njoku
    FLEX: DeSean Jackson (after having him on the bench for b2b 20+ point weeks)

    Notable Bench:
    Jesse James
    Peyton Barber
    Mike Gesicki
    Corey Grant
    Kenny Stills
    Tyler Boyd

    MY questions are:

    1. At flex do i put Peyton Barber in lieu of DJax? Is his production sustainable? They are both playing bad PIT defense. Do I play Peyton Barber a flex and bench Demariyus Thomas who had a horrible showing week 2 with 3 drops and 18 yards on 11 targets in favor of DJax?

    2. Do I play Jesse James instead of Njoku who is getting 7 targets a game, but Jesse James gonna be in a PIT / TB shootout. I see Ben throwing 40+ times again.

    3. Do I take out Jordan Howard for Peyton Barber and leave D.Thomas, Keenan Allen starting and DJax flex?

    I am having a lot of internal conflict setting this week's roster and your opinions would be helpful.

    Not sure why you want to play Barber. IMO, Barber is barely rosterable.

    I'd play James over Njoku. Leave the rest.

    I’m in the same boat. Have Broncos, thinking of dropping for Miami. Miami’s D looks legit, but we also have only played a rookie QB and Blane Gabbert.

    I think both Miami and Denver D/ST are decent plays this week.

    What do y’all think about trading for Mahomes? I don’t have much faith in Luck. I also need a WR bad.

    I’m sitting on CMC, Melvin Gordon, James Conner, Kenyan Drake, and Mark Ingram. My WRs are a weakness - marquise Goodwin, Corey Davis, Josh Gordon, and Edelman. What WR should I be targeting and for who? With all these RBs I have decent trade assets.

    If your league is anything like mine, no one trades with anyone! I've tried and asked but no one wants to know - unless you're giving up a tier one for a 2nd or 3rd flex.

    You'd be lucky to get Mahomes, I would have thought, maybe for Gordon, possibly?

    In my A League, anyone who's anyone has been snapped up and stashed. A guy dropped Mark Ingram last week and I swooped in on waivers but apart from that, I'm trying to pick up crumbs from backs which are really only 3rd string at best. B League is a bit better, I managed to pick up Keelan Cole yesterday as a bye week stash.

    If Will Fuller or Kenny Golladay are still in FA in your league, might be worth a shout?

    I'm thinking about picking up either the Dolphins D or the Cowboys D(Playing @Seattle), in place of my Chargers D this week. We have 5 turnovers and a TD with 3 sacks through weeks but the Cowboys have 2 Turnovers but 9 sacks and playing against "Sack Magnet" Wilson.

    Got offered Brees for my Mark Ingram. I have 3 RB1s not including Ingram and Kenyan drake as well. My only QB is Luck. Should I take it? Standard 4 point TD for QB league.
