IV - VI are ports of the DS versions. They're basically made perfectly for phone screen orientations.

I believe you. But that doesn't mean that my blind *** can see well enough to play, or that my clumsy fingers are able to navigate the tiny little buttons on the screen. I've gotten to where my phone is for sports, news, social media and weather, and thats it.

Overall, came away most excited about the Japanese-flavored games. Ghost of Tsushima, From Software's new game, and duh, Devil May Cry 5.

I'm still not feeling good about the game being out by Autumn of 2019, like many had thought.

Well, when you restart development halfway through because you stupidly decided to outsource the most important game of the last 10 years, yeah, you tend to have some delays.

    Some Sekiro footage out.

Trying to edge out Ni-oh? These one-offs (Bloodborne, Sekiro) from From are like Souls games with a tweest. I'm very much excited to play Sekiro, however.

When will we get a new Tenchu?

With Sony cancelling this years playstation experience, it's looking more and more to me like were going to be in for two very bleak years in gaming between now and Autunn 2020. So many games are being held back for the next generation of systems.

I think whatever releases next year is going to be on both PS4 and PS5 and their xbox equivalents. Although one of my friends who who works at Dualshockers says that the reviewer with hands on experience of CP2077 says there's no way it's going to run on the current gen consoles.

I like Dualshockers a lot. It just seems like nearly any big AAA title that isn't out by January might not be out for a long time.

The games I'm most interested in - ES6, star field, DA4, FF7, horizon zero dawn 2, future AC titles, and others are all pretty much confirmed to be waiting for the ps5.

There are a handful of exclusive games between now and 2020 that should keep most PS4 owners engaged: The Last of Us II, Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Dreams, Days Gone. Add in third-party games, and that seems like plenty to fill up two years of gaming time.

There is a drought with new hardware too, where you have some cool launch games, but often have to wait 6-12 months to see other great games get released. I love getting my hands on new hardware, but I also keep the older console hooked up to help fill in those gaps between new generation console releases. Now, good BC on the new hardware would tempt me to play some older games again with enhanced graphics, so that would help fill the gap too.

I'm not crazy about the idea of buying enhanced PS5 versions of PS4 games, I'd rather just see BC, but you know some companies will try and get people to double-dip on games.

Until proven otherwise, this is not a game, it's a streaming series that releases twice a year at large events.

Yeah, I don't see Death Stranding releasing till 2020 and maybe even 2021 as the last big release of the PS4. Followed by an enhanced PS5 version a year later of course.

Sony's already starting to rumble about new hardware. We may have PS5 next year.

If so, I'll likely hold off for a year like I did for the ps4, and wait for one of the big third party games to be released first.

You'd be waiting two years in that case.

Well, I meant a year after the system is released, whenever it happens to be. Not from right now. When the PS3 came out, I bought it the first week, and then realized that there weren't any good games that I wanted for a long time. So when the PS4 came out, I waited, and then only got one on the eve of Dragon Age Inquisition coming out. I figure that the coming cycle will be something similar. One of the bigger titles I'm waiting for will come out that next Autumn, and I'll wait and get one then. By that point, I may upgrade to a 4k TV in my main room too.
