If Gase goes but Tannenbaum doesn't, I'll be disappointed.

Wow! I wasn't sure if that was going to happen or not, but here we go. I am guessing Gase didn't want to give up some power and/or play calling duties. Hopefully, Tannenbaum is next, and Grier gets to stay. Looking forward to seeing if they bring in a legitimate football guy.

Burke needs to be next along with tannenbaum. Boys were going to suck for 2 years but this was needed. Let’s give the new coach time to fix issues before we pounce em for losing next season.

Now, we just need news of Tannenbaum being fired. Grier being let go. Tannehill's upcoming release.

No more half measures. Blow it all up. The whole current structure is flawed.

I'd bring in a hardass too. These players come here thinking this is a vacation in Miami IMO. You're here to play and get paid. Do your damn jobs too. Want to spend time on the beach, in the clubs, fishing/boating (I'm looking at you Tannehill), then retire and come do that. Find a coach who's going to get these guys to play and do their jobs, not live the good life in Miami on the backs of fan's money.

Burke is gone by default essentially. If the head coach goes, his staff is more often than not gone too. Especially a guy who headed basically the worst defense in the NFL. I wouldn't worry about that one bit.

It's the news of Tannenbaum and even Grier that needs to follow. The fact it hasn't come out yet, has me feeling like this is all a waste of time. As long as Tannenbaum is in charge in some way, nothing will change.

There are at least two ways to read this - Gase is a problem, or Ross and Tannenbaum are etc.
Quite honestly, with Miami's track record, I suspect it may be more of the latter - although Gase had his issues.

Had to happen. The only guy I'd like to stay is Grier. Tannenbaum has us in a less enviable cap position for next year, not bad, but not good.

I see Marvin Lewis got the Axe right after Gase today. If I went with a retred he would be a guy I'd talk to. I think its time we went with a defensive minded coach and a strong OC. Dirk Koetter would be high on my list for OC.

So, story floating there that the Ross/Gase relationship soured after the Indy loss. When Gase IMO gave the game away. CK kind of implying with tweets that Gase essentially wanted this to happen.

Tells me, he either doesn't want to be a head coach (with his personality, I doubt that), or he simply didn't want to be part of this structure any longer.

Remember, we saddled him with a GM and front office, and didn't the story go Tannenbaum wasn't sold, but Ross was on Gase? So it shouldn't be a real surprise that it's coming to this.

It's why I want Tannenbaum and Grier out next. Don't bring in another coach, and force him to work with the GM. At the end of the day, the coach has to put the schemes together and has the vision. The coaches need that trust in their front office staff to be aligned and execute the plan. If they're not, the whole thing is flawed all over again. The vision shoudln't come from the GM IMO, it needs to come from the coach, and they all need to be on the same page.

If we don't blow it all up, I don't see a path to success.

That tweet from Omar... Bingo. Like I said in another thread... replacing the QB could be enough to keep everyone on board.. unless Gase's backing of him has already taken it too far.

It's one thing to stand by your players and defend them to the media, but you can't BS the guys in that locker room who watch it fall apart around them on the back of a guy who isn't good enough at the most important position on the field and nobody does anything about it.

    Again, 100% agree.
We can point out the deficiencies in various individuals, but this is starting to look like a pattern of bad leadership decisions. Each time this gets done in a messy fashion I think we're seeing more clearly top-level problems. Leadership matters. Issues filter down.

And the Head Coach should be given as much control as possible. It's his head on the chopping block, don't handicap him.

Ross is the main problem. He doesn't know what he is doing.

Not convinced by this. Aside from the fact that this is Omar, who are we talking about here? The OL haven't exactly distinguished themselves this year. The WR's who are left did alright, but there were plenty of missed catches. Whatever issues there are with Tannehill, this is a bad attitude for the players to have. No one should be blaming anyone. Looks like a bad culture here.

I am really surprised it was that bad. Of course, it explains a lot. What I find interesting is the lack of player support for Tannehill. I complained the other day when Tannehill was sacked that no one from the OL helped him up. I didn't like it, and don't like it, but I guess they were taking things out on Gase's boy. It went totally over my head. Gase doesn't like to be 2nd guessed. We all don't. However, when your veterans like Wake and Stills are coming to you to make suggestions and stuff, it sure doesn't hurt to take them seriously.

Well when you've watched this guy be the QB for what, 7 years now, and our offense has never really been the strong suit of the team, it's pretty obvious to players that he's holding you back. We've heard it from many former players, and even one players (crazy) wife.

If the QB is struggling, and the coach is always got his back, but on yours for something... there's a problem, and eventually it's going to blow up like it has.

i said this 2 years ago, this relationship was like this, and literally got blasted over and over on here. It was so apparent people are just blinded by their thoughts and not by action or truths. speaking of the crazy wife that's funny oh Mrs grimes (carl from caddy shack voice) how right she was and everyone just said she was nuts.

**** that guy. Seriously. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that guy. Smug bastard. What a phony.

And CLEARLY the roster was his call - as some of us have been saying. This job was too much for that guy. 1st timers should never have that kind of control.
