My candidate list in no order.. Mike Shula Don Martindale Scott Linehan Ken Whisenhunt - i know he has had two bad stints but i think the right situation he can be very good.
why is mike McCarthy not on this list? his whole staff will be available add a good OC (no philbin) and it could work wiht a veteran qb like manning, flacco could work with the offensive talent we have.
I think the best person is being massively overlooked!!!! BRUCE ARIANS!!! Every one forgets what he did in Indy while Pagano was out and the fact he turned the cardinals around immediately!
Man, the list for me is pretty long as I would be happy with a lot of guys. As we work through the process I am sure I will discover someone who will end up being my favorite, but right now I am just sort of taking it all in. A guy I am intrigued with is David Shaw the Stanford HC.
Are you serious? Has there been another development that I haven't seen yet? Man, things are happening so fast, I can't keep up.
Tannenbaum has been "reassigned". Grier is the head cheese and will report directly to Ross. Grier will also be in charge of hiring the next HC, etc.
Help me out, I can't remember, but is Joseph a big fan of the wide 9, or was that what we wanted him to run when he got here?
I’m spitballing here man. Don’t know if they’d even come to Miami. Worried about another first timer. But then again look at the rams and bears. Shaw from Stanford intrigues me also.
Reports say that Joseph is not a fan of the wide-9. He ran it here, however, based upon defensive personnel.
Fisher sucks Reid is the HC of the Chiefs Martz is the HC of a team in the Alliance of American Football
Sorry, what I meant was Reid found success again after being established in philly. Could fisher or martz do the same in Miami.
I don't know coaches well enough, so I'll just say I'd like to have Dan Campbell. He's a bad man and that's all that matters. =)
Tannenbaum has been "reassigned". I think because he and Ross are such close friends this is Ross' way of respectfully phasing him out.
Love Dan Campbell the guy. Nit sure if he's really ready for a head coach gig yet. I dont think he's a great X's and O's guy. He was a great motivator though.
Lincoln Riley, David Shaw from college. Vic Fangio and Matt Eberflus as NFL DCs. Either Harbaugh, though I wouldn't give up a first rounder for John. Bienemy and LaFleur as NFL OC. Forget his name offhand, but the Dallas DB coach I would be thrilled to get as DC.
LOL, as I said...I really don't follow anything but the Dolphins so it's the only name I could give...and I just like him because he has a player's mentality still. He might be a horrible choice BUT I do think he can run a locker room and keep the team engaged.
But what if you gave up your first for Harbaugh, and say... brought in Foles (he's a free agent this year isnt he?), or even Flacco as a stop-gap while you draft/groom someone. There's likely going to be a fire sale of some players once a new coach comes on board anyways which should build some draft capital again. I don't see it happening though, but part of me believes that we need to go the route of having an established, experienced head coach. I think Gase has left behind a mess that needs to be cleaned up and rebuilt by someone with some experience.
I like Campbell the motivator. Hell, he has been doing well under Sean Payton...maybe he would be a good HC?
If Foles gets the Eagles deep in the playoffs, or wins another SB, do the Eagles try to unload Wentz? I'd rather have Wentz...lol
Just not a fan of giving up picks for guys not on the field - we need talent. I am also not a big Foles or Flacco guy.
I think they're locked on Wentz. But how do you cut loose a guy who wins a SB twice in a row? It would be pandemonium as teams try to throw 1st rounders at the Eagles...and hopefully we're not a part of that. I don't mind paying a premium (in money) but draft picks are sacred to me.
