LOL, I tried, dude. Towards the end, when I knew that I was 80-90% finished, I experimented with it. Just couldn't make it work for me, given how I play. I'm glad its a cool tool for others. If/when I eventually do a second playthrough, I'll try more from the early parts.

I actually feel that the story was exceptional, but I understand both that we all have our own preferences, and that some people play a much wider variety of games than I do. So my own comparrisons come from a smaller pool. For me, the final battle wasn't tedious, as much as it was something I felt I "figured out" pretty quickly. What had become my default first attempt at beating large enemies worked to a tee, and I defeated it on the first try, but not easily. Kind of just right for my skill level.

Two years after the initial release, the game has sold well over 10 million copies. Which is awesome for any game, but especially one limited to one console. They haven't announced a sequel yet, but I would have to think that one is coming. I'm guessing maybe a PS5 launch title.

Gotta love the fact it's a single-player experience.

Same here, mostly. Jim Sterling just recently posted a video talking about players' time, and how huge epics and live service games are hurting each other because gamers only have enough time to devote to a single game at a time.

At just around 50-60 hours (if even), HZD was the perfect length for me.

I ended up at about 80 hours of play, which is good. Though I'm more than happy to devote more to a game that I love. I recently put 120 into AC Oddessy, and that's without the DLC. On my second playthrough of that one, I'm sure I'll go well over 150.

I'm very much a one-game-at-a-time guy. Just how I've always been. I play a few hours a night, for however long that happens to be. Finish my playthrough, and then move on to another title. But, I don't do anything online, its all by myself.

Some new news this week concerning a sequel. It looks like development has been going on for almost three years, but was switched at some point from a PS4 release to a PS5 release, which makes sense at this point. The game is expected to be even bigger than the original, and give the player more freedom. My guess is that whenever Sony does start sharing information about the PS5, they'll give us something to get excited about with this title. It would make sense as an Autumn game in 2021.
