Is that time again... From the link directly above - by Kyle Crabbs: "The Miami Dolphins’ three day rookie minicamp wrapped up yesterday, but the transition will be a swift one for the team’s rookie class. The rest of the Miami Dolphins get in on the action today as the team hosts their entire roster for the first Organized Team Activity (OTA) of the 2019 offseason. For a team in the heart of a rebuild, there’s several prominent storylines that make this team quite an interesting study when compared to the typical gutted roster. Miami’s efforts to reshape the roster have been calculated — but effective. There are no shortage of dynamics on the roster that will demand a watchful eye. Here are some key storylines to look out for as the Miami Dolphins open their 2019 OTAs. Chosen Rosen or Fitzmagic? How quickly can Josh Rosen begin to assert himself in the team’s race for a starting quarterback? Brian Flores has openly said if Fitzpatrick is the better quarterback and wins the job, so be it. But it’s unrealistic to think that the team won’t want as much of a body of work as possible to evaluate Josh Rosen. How good can Rosen look after just a few weeks of having his hands on the playbook? How quickly do teammates gravitate towards Christian Wilkins’ infectious personality? The Dolphins have a lot of high football character players on the roster, 2019 1st-round pick Christian Wilkins is definitely one of them. But how many have the kind of loud, booming, enthusiastic demeanor that we’ve seen from Wilkins? Not many. Wilkins is special in that way. How quickly can Wilkins and his joy of the game garner the respect of veterans and allow him to be a featured face on the defense? How much clarity will the team receive on their offensive line situation? Don’t expect much help in clearing the air here, at least until the team puts on the pads. But how liberal are the Dolphins with reps? How much moving around of pieces inside do we see them experimenting with during drills? OTAs are non-contact, so again — don’t expect too many final answers. But there will be some nuggets worth extrapolating. What is the health of WRs Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant? Miami’s most explosive weapons ended last season on the injured reserve. When we last saw the Dolphins in April, Wilson and Grant were still rehabbing their season-ending injuries. Are they cleared? If not, how close are they? Where does Minkah Fitzpatrick play the most? The Dolphins have been kind of coy on where they want to implement Minkah Fitzpatrick the most. Perhaps getting the team out on the field can help to provide some clarity. Or…the team will continue to use Fitzpatrick all over the place for OTAs and really keep us guessing."
What he is basically saying is that he can do a better job on his own than the staff can do preparing him. Honestly, this on it's own wouldnt bother me but after his stunt of sitting a game last season everything will be put under a microscope and Jones should know that. So it's possible hes just an idiot who doesnt realize how bad his actions look....but yeah I think you're spot on.
I love how Armando can tell e line is going to be abysmal from one day of OTA's lol Granted I thik they will be a work in progress but it has nothing to do with OTA #1
A few interesting short videos and bits and pieces of info in this article from Barry Jackson: https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article229732744.html
Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but considering it involves the people at OTAs @miamidolphins We have signed center Tony Adams, guard Kyle Fuller and linebacker Nate Orchard. We have also waived/injured guard Isaac Asiata, waived center Kirk Barron and placed wide receiver Ricardo Louis on injured reserve.
I think he's pretending to mock out-physical a defender in that clip. Watch his head after his break, he's very much in control. That's why the coach was following his route like he was.
