Smoke and mirrors? Or did the media jump the gun on Murray-to-Arizona? Just last week, Cardinals GM Steve Kiem told the media that they have not decided on whom they will draft at No. 1. If this report is true, it's about to shake up the entire draft. Thoughts? Full article: https://cardswire.usatoday.com/2019/04/19/nfl-draft-az-arizona-cardinals-kyler-murray-ownsership/
Hes looked better than I imagined so far I will come back and give him that. Now let's see how he does when there is tape, cohesiveness and a gameplan focused around him by the defense.
This past week he had a respectable 91 passer rating. He is leading the NFL in passing attempts while being ranked 7th in completions. He is 4th in passing yards. His Y/A is 7..which is nearly identical to Watson, Carr, Ryan, and Goff. And he only has a total of 6 rushes. (But he's a running QB who doesn't like to pass) Overall his passer rating is an 82. Baker Mayfield is 73, Matt Ryan has an 83, and Jared Goff has an 87. Darnold- 85. Wentz-89. Fitz- 40. Josh Rosen...14. Rosen, last year for AZ, finished the season with a 67 passer rating, 5.8 Y/A, threw for over 200 yards twice, and never had a passer rating over 88 for any single game. (And yet Rosen is much better than Kyler and AZ is going to regret their decision to let Rosen go)
You shouldnt judge a full season based on two games. Not saying he wont be great or whatever, but it seems like a very small data set.
