sorry guys... Having the time of my life on the other PC. If I didn't have to meet clients tomorrow, this would be an all nighter and calling in sick. Talk about crack. I've passed the initial spore phase. The timeline is cool becaise you can see the evolutionary steps you've taken to succeed, and the designs that sucked. Watching your little spore grow from the smallest itty bitty thing to the biggest fush in the water is strangely gratifying. I'm on land now working with my pack. It's addicting trying to get DNA to evolve. Very reminiscent of the feeling in Sims of "just gotta get that next skill point to try and get a promotions". Any questions?
My PC is a decent Dual Core chip (have to look for the exact processor, but it's about 3-4 months old), not top of the line by any means, but runs everything just fine. I have an 8800GT video card and 4GB of DDR2 ram. It runs great. I'm playing it on my 32" Westinghouse TV. So far, no bugs and looks fantastic. Simplistic, but fantastic.
Sounds good. I have a similar setup except mine's a Quad core (sometimes even slower than Dual core for some programs). Thanks for the info.
Yes, PC game (one of the most anticipated ones of the year I might add... I'm kinda disappointed in you), and yes it's a stand alone game.
I wonder with this if it still pulls in everyones creations and stuff. I also wonder if you log on using your account if they can tell its torrented.
Well... I finally got to world stage. I've achieved vehicles and buildings. Technology runs rampant. I HAD to save. I'm going to bed. Gotta work early tomorrow. I'M LOVING IT!
mor, i know if you aquire the game in a certain way...that you cannot go online or register with EA do you see any reason that the online functionality is worth it? do you know what the online portion of it is and what it does?
The only thing cool about the online stuff is the fact that you can share creations, and auto upload video straight to youtube without exiting the game (very cool). But, the game is totally fun without it. Can't wait to get home. PS - The youtube stuff is all I'm interested in. I'm sure a hack for that will be out in 3, 2,......
I love the TV. I initially bought it because it was on sale at Bestbuy for $500. Upon further use, it has amazing black levels (especially when using HDMI) and it's one of the nicest 32" 720p TV's I've seen. Doesn't have that fancy glossy look that the samsung's pack, but the image is spectacular.
Not really too keen on these games, but I'll give it a shot. I'll finish dl'ing it...I mean the demo...in 1 hour or so. I dl at work, and bring a portable drive and take stuff home.
I've made it to the galactic level. Goot stuff. I'm gonna try to make a few vids of my next spore. It's more like a Civ game mixed with pieces of Warcraft than a Sim game.
Mor, Few questions if you dont mind. 1. Any t file for an instruction book in pdf? 2. With the learning curve, is one needed? 3. Replayability of this game is?
Don't mind at all bro. 1. There's no manual in the rip. It's an .ISO with a /crack directory added. In the crack folder you'll find a keygen and a launch .EXE file (which you replace the installed .EXE lauch file with). 2. It teaches you how to play as you play. It never throws you at the wolves. I never even read the pop ups most of the times, and I was able to play all the way through the Galactic stage. 3. Because Spore is more like Civ (growing, expansion, building, then ending) than SimCity (Building and building forever), each spore you create will build, grow, expand, then die. You can do a whole cycle in one day (I'm guessing a few hours if you know what you're doing). So depending on how creative a person you are and what combinations of creatures you'd like to try, replayablity is endless.
Yea I got mine today mor, probably from same place you did lol. Anyways I am enjoying it for the most part. Definitely a lot of replay ability.
Thanks for the thorough answers, looking forward to giving this game a shot. I am also well versed with everything you said in point 1.
Mor any idea if we can get the user generated content? I got it to work been playing it for awhile now I'm impressed. You think they have a way to flag accounts if its not retail?
