This is why the NFL is better than the NCAA. The NFL doesn't have amateur piece of **** officials. Miami just lost the football game because of it. There is no way in hell the receiver had possession of that football.

Man I try to favor the Hurricanes in every way possible but that was a catchable ball and if he didn't get pulled down by Randy, it would have been a TD. That was horrible defending on Randy's part.
He didn't interfere with his ability to catch the ball, because there was no ability to catch the ball. Defensive holding can only occur before a ball is thrown, so it can only be pass interference. If a ball is uncatchable you can take a sledgehammer to a guys knee pretty much (not that far of course, but you can hit him however you like and they can't really flag it)
That's why I'm still happy. I wasn't expecting to win, I just hate having the opportunity taken away by a reversed bull**** call.
That pass was a yard in from the out of bounds line. That pass was right above the receivers head and he had his hands on it. If it wasn't a catchable ball, he would have never got his hands on it. Phillips clearly pulled down the receivers right arm which gave him only one arm to haul the ball in. The penalty may have been labeled incorrectly but it was indeed a penalty and we paid for it.
I don't believe that there is a rule that allows defenders to tackle receivers not in possession the ball past the bump and run buffer. Am I wrong bro?

I only saw the replay twice, but it looks to me like it was further out than that. Also damn that was a horrible dropped pass....he could have taken that a long way if he held on.
