Urgh. Cowherd tries so hard to bait Pennington into supporting one of his horrible takes but Pennington isn't biting. Was wondering what he was doing on the show and then connected the shirt with the plug at the end. Colin should have given the 'Legends' more time. As a bonus, we get to hear Cowherd state these two positions within 5 mins: Leading up to Tua - Young QB's have loads more reps now than QB's used to get, so I'm impatient - implying that that QB's need to be better sooner, with less time to figure it out - thus Tua is crap. Leading up to Mac Jones - His college experience won't resemble his NFL experience. So, let's get this straight, Tua, an Alabama QB, with a similar team as Mac, only a year removed, got loads of reps and should be NFL ready. But Mac Jones, Alabama was so good, his experience hasn't prepared him for the NFL?
Mac Jones had the full season last year, this off-season to prepare and he will also have a training camp in the NFL. So even if you take those statements at face value, it's still not apples to apples due to Tua's injury/rehab and COVID.
I haven't listened to Cowherd in a long time, but he's just a blowhard who says things he thinks will get people riled up. He's smart, but he takes stupid positions to get himself in the limelight and get ratings/clicks/ect. And he's made clear that ratings are all he ever really cares about when it comes to sports.
Cowpie.. err.... Cowherd is like the chef in a restaurant who knows about half of the menu, and the other half is still a mystery. Sometimes what you get is wonderful. Other times it should be fed to the goats.
