Really?!? I just didn't know what to make of the offers given and Loki's choices.

If Loki would have taken the timekeeper's offer, he could have basically re-written Asgard's story and everything he regretted throughout his life. I mean, he could have saved his entire civilization across all timelines.

How would he know to trust him? If you mean the point where Miss Minutes gave the offer. Plus this Loki only saw the distruction of Asgard on a screen.

And it is only one timeline. The "sacred" timeline. The timeline that was isolated on all timelines.

One Loki was focused on one thing. That is the Loki's fault. Their hyper focus. Her glorious purpose was to kill the timekeepers. She was never going to make another choice.

I think that its also fair to assume that at least half of what was presented as truth was total BS mind games, both to the characters on screen and to the audience. And more will be revealed later on in other movies/shows and then the second season of this show. With the MCU, you just can't look any anything in insolation.

That's the thing, everyone was lying to everyone about everything- which made the whole episode pointless in my opinion. Plus, they're talking about time travel and timelines, which has it's own degree of "what ifs" from pop culture movies, etc. Killing the timekeeper could be colossal or it could do nothing at all.

My other thought was, "We're coming off infinity wars- where were the timekeepers for that one?" I had so many unanswered questions it just turned me off to the whole thing.

It is what the timekeepers wanted.

Okay, I just Googled it to make sure I was remembering everything right. Loki's variant avoided Infinity War when they came for the Tessaract and it put him on a different path...that's not what I was talking about. My question was, why didn't the timekeepers stop Thanos? Or stop the Avengers from stopping Thanos in the sequel? Obviously one of them were on a variant path.

Kang didn't care about that. It must have been what happened in his timeline.

The entire TVA's mission was to make sure that is the only Kang.

Thanos didn't matter or the other Thanos.

The Hawkeye series will premier on November 24th, several weeks after The Eternals premiers in the cinema, and several weeks before Spiderman: No Way Home.

For now, the Ms. Marvel show is also slated to run in "late 2021", but given that there are only seven weeks between Nov 24 and the end of the year, it wouldn't surprise me to see that one get moved a little later. It's unlikely that they want them to overlap.

This is a very well thought out and detailed list of the villains who are thought to be still alive in the MCU from all of the movies up to this point. Its safe to say that many won't ever appear in another movie or show, its likely that some will. I'm really hopeful that Ava Starr, aka Ghost, gets to come back in the next Ant Man movie, or even gets her own Disney+ show with Bill Foster. It would also be great to see Donald Gover come back as Prowler in a much larger role, but I'm not expecting that one.

it would be interesting seeing Donald Glover as a villain.

It would be hard to make a live-action Miles Morales better than Into The Spider-Verse.

Though I would still like to see him

I think its very possible that Miles will eventually appear in the MCU, if things keep going long enough. But whether Glover would come back at that point, who knows.

I have only seen his stand up and him play Troy on Community. So I have only seen him be likable. So I am very interested in him as a villain.

I also don't think they would have Prowler without at least having Miles show up unless The Prowler is a cameo, as The Prowler is now more of a Miles villain than a Peter villain. Much in the way the Kingpin, even though one of Spidey's oldest villains, is now more of a Daredevil villain.

I forgot about Solo, which shows a lot about what I thought about the film. He was a good Lando. He was the best part of the movie. I hope he is in the Disney+ Lando series.

As I suspected, the Ms Marvel show on Disney+ will not be releasing in 2021, as originally stated. There just isn't room for it on the calendar. It will instead join Moon Knight, She Hulk and Secret Invasion in 2022.

There's a gap of about three months in between Spiderman: No Way Home and The Multiverse of Madness that it should fit nicely into. Then I would guess one of the others will be in April & May between that and Thor: Love & Thunder. And then another between Wakanda Forever and The Marvels, and then I suspect that will tie in directly with Secret Invasion at the very end of 2022.

Ok, so the first episode of "What If ..." was great. For now, it's all super low stakes and they can just tell fun stories and do silly stuff. Still, the story they told was fine, and the Captain Carter action scenes were absolutely great! The medium allows a bit more flexibility and creativity than live action and they definitely took advantage of it. Looking forward to more episodes, and will be interesting to see if/how they tie things together.

kind of hinted at it with the reveal that Carter popped out in modern times in front of Fury and Hawkeye.

But Haley Atwell herself is a great reason to watch anything at all as well. :tt1:

    https://geektyrant.com/news/black-p...l-introduce-us-to-riri-williams-aka-ironheart

The character of Riri Williams (AKA Ironheart) will make her debut in Wakanda Forever. While I'm not super excited about brand new characters being introduced to the MCU, as it seems a bit force fed (Williams debut was 2016), finding an interesting side storyline for this movie given Chadwick Boseman's passing makes a lot of sense, and is an interesting way to introduce her. We'll see how it goes.

Kevin Feige confirms that Ryan Reynolds is working with Marvel's writers on a script for Deadpool 3, and that they have a window in mind for where the film will fit in with the release schedule. Its been speculated that they could begin shooting in 2022.

Unknown is whether Deadpool might show up as a cameo in other projects before then, which is always possible.

Almost as if I wrote this article about just how bad Loki is myself...

Was so annoyed in E4 and E5 that, I just ffwd to the end and started E6 and am currently jumping thru it.

I hate every single character and every single script so far.

About ready to turn this disappointing dullard of a series off. I keep thinking "well maybe the next episode will finally be good... shouldn't have promised my kid I'd watch it.

Well, not everything is for everyone, lol. I hope you enjoy Shang Chi and The Eternals more!

Its not MCU, but I hated - passionately hated - Logan. I took absolutely no enjoyment from it at all. And people think that I'm trolling them every time I talk about it since its so beloved by apparently most others. I feel fortunate that aside from The Hulk (which I just pretend doesn't exist), I've enjoyed everything in the MCU.

I gave up on Iron Fist and Luke Cage... and didn't make it thru E2 of the PI Chick show.

I liked MOST of Logan... I hate it when writers get too cute and stop a character from being what made them great to start with... and that's exactly what's going on with Loki... it's like they don't realize that he's just like Thanos in the sense that he's evil and scheming but ultimately just a loser with a arrogant and narcissistic streak who is always on cusp, but never makes it.

Loki's character and failures in these Marvel movies is usually comedic. In this series, they're taking him out of character. He might as well be Thor, or that god awfully written and acted Valkyrie...

I feel bad for Tom Hiddleston... this should have been some spin off of Ragnarok, or along the lines of one of the 70/80s space comedies like Time Bandits...

I think that I watched one episode of Daredevil on Netflix, and two episodes of Jessica Jones. I didn't like them at all, and gave up. They weren't MCU canon anyways.

I saw the Ben Aflec Dardevil movie once and the Electra movie once. I actually liked Electra better of the two, but I agree that they felt more like DC stuff. That was pre MCU, and to me almost all super hero stuff back then was lame other than the X-Men movies, which were just kicking into gear themselves.

I honestly don't have any interest in the character for the most part.

Yes... the Electra movie wasn't terrible.

The DD tv show wouldn't have been too bad if not for terrible casting and low budget. Casting some short, dark guy as DD was akin to casting Tom Cruise as Vampire Lestat or Jack Reacher... like WTF? Why??????? Totally not the character at all.

Lestat was based on Rutger Haur's "Roy" from Blade Runner, and Reacher is blonde and blue giant with a mean streak.

DD was tall, fair, redheaded, and freckled. Casting drives me nuts when they do this BS.

I was staying out of this entire conversation but, holy ****, I have never disagreed with anyone more on anything.

Electra is an abomination when it comes to film.

Also DD doesn't need to be tall, fair, redheaded, or freckled. That has almost nothing to do with his character. It was just a decision to how he was drawn at the time.

I watched the first few episodes of Agents of SHIELD and it was ... not good. I never watched any other Marvel TV shows following that. In part, they just looked mostly low-budget and uninteresting, and also because there was no tie-ins with the main universe.

I have enjoyed pretty much every Marvel film though, with some obviously being a bit lesser than others. Decided to get into the TV stuff since I have D+ anyway and since the new shows looked fairly well put-together and mostly have tie-ins. The What If... doesn't have an obvious tie-in yet, but who knows. I enjoy animation though so I've watched and enjoyed the first two episodes.

managing to convince Thanos that his plan was bad, followed by Thanos trying it out on other folks multiple times only to keep getting told it sounds like genocide was golden. Also really enjoyed seeing a badass but still weird as **** Collector lol.

I love Agents of Shield. One of my favorite TV shows of all time, regardless. It was originally connected to the MCU - heck, that was the very point of the show - but then fighting between the different divisions lead to it basically having its own timeline, though they never implicitly stated that. Now, I think of it almost as its own "what if", going along parallel to the MCU universe as we know it.

The new shows on Disney+, which so far are WandaVision, Falcon & the Winter Soldier, and Loki are absolutely MCU canon. They not only tie in directly with the movies, but are probably necessary viewing if you want to stay fully in the loop from this point out.
