So yeah, he's no long a Buccaneer. Not really sure what they expected. He's AB and they're named after pirates. Seems fitting!
Theres a photo of AB waiting for an uber outside of metlife during the game.. that guy is really out there
I thought the days of the prima dona receivers were over after Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson were gone.
Two completely different situations- Davis was just dumb while Brown was all about the "me me me" lifestyle. But still, your comment gave me a good chuckle!
Everyone in twitter is roasting Vontaze Burfict, for one of the most vicious (and purposeful) helmet to helmet hits of the modern era. Rightfully so... But AB has been playing football since he was a pre-teen. He's a small guy, who likely has had dozens of concussions. We're probably witnessing CTE in real time. His brain is probably swiss cheese at this point. He has no ability to make sound judgements. His story likely ends badly, and likely violently, given the history of players with severe CTE. In another thread, I made a joke about him being a FA, and I kind of feel bad about it now. AB needs help. Sadly, even if he could commit to it, there's nothing to be done. Tom Brady's post game comments are really telling, saying we should try and empathize with him. He knows... It will be interesting to see how the sports media handles this story. Do they lead their stories with jokes or do they take it seriously. Which ever is more entertaining, I imagine... It's a sad end, all the way around.
Just out of curiosity, when was the hit by Burfict? CBS detailed a timeline of incidents concerning AB, beginning in 2017…
Dude's been a problem long before the Burfict hit, though that (and others) could potentially have exacerbated things. He is clearly not in a good place, but he's also apparently not seeking help for obvious problems. I think just blaming concussions/cte or even mental illness in general doesn't due justice to the crap he has done both on and off the field.
His side of the story is that he was injured and didn't feel like he was fit enough to go back in the game. The coached asked him twice to take the field, he refused both times, so the coach told him to get off the field. So in a way, it's the coach's fault too. I'm assuming that Brown's side is all BS, I'm just sharing it to add to the story.
As a guy whos heard stories of Antonio Brown since back when he played in Miami Norland.. the Burfict hit has nothing to do with the way Antonio is now, he’s always been a self centered spoiled brat… and let me tell you, his cousin’s personality isnt much different either. also dont understand the Terrell Owens comparisons… Terrell Owens was not a good locker room guy, but he never quit on the field. Also one has a gold jacket and the other will never get one
