    Who do you want ?
Both just had marathon interviews according to reports. Like it or not they appear to be the two finalists.

Most fans seem to prefer McDaniel. I’m curious if a poll on here will also reflect that….

edit; added cop out option for Galant.:knucks:

You need a third option - don't mind either way.

It's the Dolphins so while we sit here wondering which one it will be, ultimately it's Shrodinger's HC.
No matter which one we pick it'll be the wrong one.

While I do like the Cowboys offense very much, I just don't know if I believe its because of Moore. They have the league's best offensive line, top end talent at RB, WR and TE, a QB who's been in the system for years now, and the whole thing was set up by Jason Garrett before he was fired. Moore didn't build the system or train most of the players. He just took over.

While you could argue that McDaniel didn't build anything either, as it was all under Kyle Shanahan, the difference between the two to me is that the 49ers succeed largely due to scheme, play calling and coaching their players up, rather than raw talent as in Dallas. And Shanahan has generally gotten the best years out of whoever he's coached at most of his stops, and I'm mostly hoping that has brushed of on McDaniel and he brings that system and ideas to Miami.

Its far from a slam dunk. Just hopefulness on my part because of good things that are said about him and the fact that his longtime boss (Shanahan) is my favorite current coach. If we could get a B+ version of him in McDaniel, it would be the best thing to happen to the Fins since Jimmy.

    Slightly left of center
I'll take the guy who Kittle wanted included in his contract. He looks like a teacher, and a good one. Seems to me that's something we need. Going to come down to which one can put together the best team/staff and get them on board. It doesn't get said much but the HC doesn't need to be the smartest football mind in the room, that's cool and all but if you can't lead 100 other men into battle as a team for 40= weeks than you'll fail.
That one video that was posted of McDaniel in a film session talking about the WR role in the run game and how to get them sold on their role and the way to teach it sold me.
That and he's a pot head. :butthead:

Mildly surprised to not see an option for co-coaches and BOTH McDaniel and Moore being hired.

Well, Kellan Moore to me is the best option. He wasn't the greatest QB to ever hit the field, that's for sure. But, he coaches a big arm QB, AND we got a big arm QB. Shanahan, is like his dad, runs a West Coach offense. Mike grew up under Walsh. McDaniel will bring that. IF that's what your looking for... Kellen will run more of a Pro Offense. Again. Got a big arm QB in Tua. I didn't want Tua. But we got him. So, let's make the most out of him... which means putting money into the OL... you ABSOLUTELY have to have a top tier run game. Hence, in my other thread we got a real shot at Tyler Linderbaum at OC and then trade up from pick 50 and get Kenneth Walker III...

What alternate universe are you living in where Tua is a big arm QB? The man has a bb gun for an arm.
