"Ready to take the biggest jump" should be Tua since he's furthest away from elite status. It's really hard for Burrow to go from #2 passer rating in the league to.. what? Herbert has some room to grow but not as much as Tua obviously. So it's a bit of an empty question.

The better question to ask is which QB is most likely to prove themselves to be consistently well above average over time and remain a starter for a decade or more. Right now that's probably Burrow.

That's clearly Burrow...we all know that. But I did love the little dig at Herbert as well when the quote said he gets rattled when people put hands on him. He may be more complete as of today, but long term I think Tua will pay off.

I think when it is all said and done, Herbert will have proven to be the best of the three. That's not a knock on Burrow. He has proven to be great. It could go either way. I just think Herbert is a bit more built to last.

Burrow has HOF written all over him, and they have since upgraded their OL

You said Herbert the best of the 3. I think Burrow, he is already great. Hoepfully, they all 3 stay healthy.

Nick Wright's sole purpose for existence is to be a troll. Chris Broussard actually pays attention and goes against the grain sometimes.

Bruschi is a moron. If defenders could "just tackle" Tyreek Hill every time he took a quick slant, he wouldn't have just become the highest paid WR in NFL history.

To be fair to Bruschi when he played the Pats were allowed to get away with mugging opposing receivers in the street on their way to the stadium. The idea of having to wait until the receiver has caught the ball before tackling them is one of these new fangled ideas that came in after he stopped playing.

In the quick, short pass game, Tua’s accuracy will be a great asset.

He makes quick decisions and follows his progressions, which is why he survived last season with a serviceable passer rating. We need to be top 5 in YAC to take advantage of our receiving corps' strength. With a little time and faith in a line that'll (hopefully) hold up, he just needs to work on timing so he can throw his speedsters open. I think he's there with Waddle, but he needs to get the ball in front of Hill and Bowden to give them the chance to turn on the afterburners. That, along with getting the ball downfield fast enough for catches to be made in stride, should be a focus of this offseason.

Third year as an NFL QB, the OL should be at least AVERAGE, there are PLENTY of offensive weapons around him. Looking forward to Tua showing he belongs as an NFL QB -or we find out he can't win consistently without a dominant team around him.

It seems they lumped RPO plays with play action, so not sure this tweet is very accurate

Maybe not. But I'd think PFF would know the difference between RPO and play action.

Interesting perspective from Barry Jackson. I think I agree with him. If there's more concern with Tua it's not arm strength so much as quick-fire decision making.

So the first issue I have with that comparison is that it's not an honest comparison. So Tua threw for 1,814 yards on 186 completions, whereas Allen threw for 2,074 yards on 169 completions. That's almost an extra game's worth of throws. So no, they weren't the same on overall yards. Year two, again, Tua had 263 completions for 2,653 yards, while Allen had 271 completions for 3,089 yards.

My other issue not related to anything about the stats issues, is that people don't believe in Tua because they don't see a QB with the physical capabilities to do the things that Allen can do. Like, they don't believe that Tua's performance will massively jump if he gets some tools. Of course he'll improve, it's how big of an improvement will he see?

Honest question here…of those 2074 passing yards, how many of those yards are YAC? Remember, YAC pads a quarterback’s passing yards stat. I mean, a quarterback can throw a 5 yard pass and a receiver takes it 80 yards for a touchdown. That quarterback just got an 85 yard TD completion…when he really only threw a 5 yard pass.
