He was bad this preseason.. and its hard to be bad in McDaniels zone blocking scheme.. I called bust on his *** before the draft. I didnt trust him.. hell he got Tua’s hip injured at Alabama.
Yes but that's sort of my point. We've had an awful line and several guys drafted high that you could claim were busts but even then we've still felt they were better than eating a massive contract in dead money. So think how bad this guy must be to get cut after less than 18 months in the league. We've had turnstiles at tackle and they're still an improvement on this guy.
Decent choices. Bowden Jr. and Porter Gustin were the only ones I would have personally found room for.
I'm glad Williams and Bowden are gone. I was tired of hearing about how great these guys were gonna be one day.
Who do you think they’re trying to bring back for practice squad? I think they’re hoping McKinley clears waivers.
How gutting must it feel to survive cuts day only to get cut the day after so the team can make space for a waivers pick.
Benito Jones is the only Dolphins cut who was claimed off waivers. It'll be interesting to see who else gets signed and to whom they are headed.
Only OL I can see still unclaimed, from those people were watching, is ex-49er Justin Skule. However:
Seems according to Grier we don't even need an Oline. The lack of emphasis on suring up the oline from Grier is amazing.
You wouldn't think people would trade offensive linemen between today and the start of the season. Too many talented young guys were just cut for that to happen. Maybe we're looking at those cuts after waivers are cleared? Hard to say, but I'm confident that they're still looking and talking.
