Just booked 8 seats! Family gathering in Baltimore 50/50 split on fins v ravens anyone else in Baltimore on the 18th? Enter the Water, Enter the Food Chain! Let’s Eat!
I would have tried, as I'm only 2 hours from Baltimore, but they have a terrible reputation for mistreatment of visiting fans. I'll save my money for a better experience.
I have always had a good experience in Baltimore- my wife is a big packers fan, my son a big ravens fan … so we’ve seen packers and dolphins vs ravens and always had a good time rooting with or against the ravens the ravens beat us so bad about 6 years ago that the raven fans bought my bear and hot dogs lol hopefully I’m buying this year
I've seen games all over the country and it seems when the jackarse fan from the other team that isn't home starts really chirping, turning around, taunting is when things get out of hand. Otherwise I've never had a problem.
Best game I went to was in Indy. Colts scored with like less a minute and a half left and all the Colts fans were chirping at me and gloating. I just kinda smiled and thought, you guys left too much time on the clock. Marino got the ball drove down the field and threw game winning TD It was awesome.
That's pretty funny, I had a similar experience. I went to the MNF game in Carolina a few years back when Jay Cutler was our QB. The Panther BEAT the brakes off of us and the woman sitting next to me (quite older then me) in a motherly tone, told me that she was sorry I had to experience such a beating.
When I was at Carolina back in 2009, Miami won an exciting game and all of the Panthers fans were really cool and welcoming. Very neighborly.
I was there as well. Halloween was a fun game. Those tickets were a gift from my gf at the time. I of course married her with a gift like that.
Didn't you say that you were at the game in Carolina in 2009 as well? Its crazy that you've been there for two of the three Dolphins games I've attended in person, lol. My wife was cool with making a trip to Miami in 2007 for my 30th birthday and seeing the game that year as my gift. And then making trips the next three that included sporting events as part of our vacations, so those were great trips as well. With the Fins playing at Washington next season, I'm going to try and go and we might take the kids, now that they're big enough. We also play at an AFC North team, so that could be an option as well. We also play at the AFC North in 2024, and at Pittsburgh, Carolina and Atlanta in 2025, and those are all options for me.
I was at that Panthers game. I go to pretty much all of them when the Phins visit. Even the preseason game several years ago. I'll probably make that Washington game but that stadium sucks. I went back in 2015 and couldn't believe how different it was compared to Jerry world seeing as they're rivals.
It's too bad that FedEX is on the wrong side of DC. With traffic, it makes it almost an hours drive further away.
Fun game (especially when you know the ending, lol), but yet another example (out of millions, it seems) of the lack of a running game in Miami, especially during the Marino years. They seem to never get the tough yard or two for the first down; goal to go from the 2 or less was never a gimme. So frustrating, even in hindsight. Hopefully Edmonds and Mostert (and Coach) will be catalysts for change.
It's commonly stated to be one of, if not THE worst stadiums in the league. My only experiences were at Houston (during the Saban era) - good stadium, good environment, fans were solid and not hostile but we lost both games I went to. At the old Humphrey Dome in Minny, again good fans, good environment, again we lost lol. This was back in the Warren Moon/Dan Marino era. And not Phins related, but a few Packers games as a kid when I lived in Green Bay. Highly recommend a trip to Lambeau if you happen to be in the area. But ... holy moly can it get cold. I'd be tempted to go to the Lions/Phins game this year since I live in the area now, but between cost and pregnant wife it probably won't work.
