I didn't see the whole game but there were a couple of deep passes. I didn't see anything Tua couldn't have thrown but Allen did throw some lasers with a speed I'm not sure Tua could match. Allen just looked solid.
BooF looked good on bot sides of the ball. Very polished for the 1st game. It's a long season and if Allen keeps running the ball like he does someone is going to smack the chit out of him.
https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/pa...patriots-qb-mac-jones-will-have-breakout-year "Wilfork has been especially impressed with Jones' work ethic and ability to command the locker room at such an early age. "Everything I've seen and know about him is, he works hard," Wilfork said. "He came to camp in good shape. He looked different, he looked mature, he looked bigger, he looked stronger. He's demanding respect from his teammates. ... He's demanding everything a quarterback should demand from his team. Now it's time for him and the team to play for each other.""
Josh Allen looked a lot like a young Dan Marino with his quick release and velocity on his throws. Only real flaw I saw was he trusted his arm too much at times and pushed the ball into danger close a few too many times.
It does feel very weird that the Patriots fanbase and reporters feel like this is some sort of great dunk on the Fins fanbase when Tua has yet to lose to New England. Like if it had been a Bills fan tweeting it then yeah fine that makes sense, but seems stupid when the Patriots cant beat Tua either.
Geez. Cover Diggs. He shifty. Finds spots. Von Miller looks like they got their moneys worth. I’m glad we’re getting them with a little short rest. We will see if the OLine can hold up as well against class onslaught.
Yes. I don’t like his jubilation. Never want a player to get hurt but maybe he’s like Marino. Hit him and he gets a little shaky. LoL.
No denying though that as smug an a-hole as he is, he's also ridiculously talented. Couldn't we have gone just a few years after Brady left the division before we got another top 3 QB in it.
That is the ideal - to generate pressure without having to blitz, which is why the Rams and Titans couldn’t do much against them. Compounding the problem for those teams is that their QBs aren’t known for their scrambling abilities.
Hyde has been placed on IR and will miss the remainder of the season - a big blow to the Buffalo secondary.
This partially redeems that fanbase of some of the most toxic, butt hurt reactions to a loss that we've ever seen during the regular season.
Well if the half time scores are anything to go by, we're about to be in a division with the Bills and Jets having the same record.
Jets are having some of their own injury issues: Jets head coach Robert Saleh said at his Monday press conference that right tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker is out for the season due to a triceps injury he suffered in the first half of Sunday’s 16-9 win. Running back Breece Hall tore his ACL in the game and will also miss the rest of the year.
They have apparently traded for James Robinson. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34872289/jets-agree-trade-jaguars-rb-james-robinson-sources-say On an unrelated note ... Mac Jones suuuuuucks.
New England has had the benefit of playing some really bad teams lately, they are playing well but they really aren't that scary imo. We better beat the Bears by 50. The NFC is just bad man. I really wish we had been able to pull out that Vikings game.
Stepped away for a bit - this game really turned around. Looks like the Bears are running all over the Pats.
Bears need to turn into the Falcons to lose this one now. I won't root for the Jets when they play the Pats next week, but it's a win-win that one of them will (probably) lose.
I hear that quite often but it means nothing. The Bears got a pissed off Belichick after the first half last night. And ?
I turned it off around half time and started watching House of the Dragon. Not surprisingly there is more action then the game. The Ravens released veteran cornerback Daryl Worley from their active roster Monday, according to the NFL’s personnel notice. Worley has bounced between the team’s active roster and practice squad all season, and has played three games with the Ravens this season, seeing action on five defensive snaps and 23 on special teams. Worley has only one tackle. Worley is in his seventh NFL season, having played 73 games with 54 starts. Were so thin at Corner right now he might be an easy option. Not a great one, but we need bodies.
