And Rodgers threw for more yards as well. And again, compare stats from the last 3 seasons, and then get back to me.

Wowsa. This is up there in dumb arguments. You don't think the generational WR in Tyreek Hill helps QBs? Arguably the best WR tandem in the league. You don't think that helps? Bridgewater barely played (and actually outplayed Tua at the Bengals). I don't think he started and finished one game. Skylar Thompson is highly likely not a NFL QB. That's why they paid Mike White who has a career QB rating of 75.4 to backup.

We're not talking the last three years. We're talking last year. And him throwing for only 150 more yards on more attempts and games is not a flex.

No. You are only talking about last year. I'm saying it's cherrypicked dumbness. Use a larger sample, the players aren't comparable, and again Rodgers was playing on a broken thumb.

Why would we assume Rodgers at 36 would be the same as Rodgers at 40

40 and injury prone since his broken thumb always makes it into the argument.

Rodgers is 6 years younger than Brady. Rodgers still 1-3 years left here.

He was an MVP in 2021. Why you think one year changes so much in the year he lost his only good receiver and broke his thumb is beyond me.

Brady did things nobody has ever done and things nobody thought could be done. We are supposed to assume everyone will do that now?

Rodgers was 90% retired two weeks ago but now he's got 3 more years. Good luck with that.

Aaron Rodgers is an outlier. They are both outliers. Both elite. Both HOF QBs. How many QBs won back to back MVPs at 37 and 38?

He likely just doesn't want the same hall of fame class as Brady. I don't know how a Jets fan can hear him say he was that close to retiring and be exciting. One year of Jets in that media market will add that final 10%.

Rodgers does not want to play football anymore. He's clearly playing out of spite. The way he played the victim in his little dramatic interview was pathetic.

"I wish they would have came to me and told me wahhh wahhh but I had to hear it from someone else wahhh wahhh"

Save the drama for New York. I hope it's a complete and utter disaster.

Sorry, I'm kind of lost since this is the Tua thread and all. Did Rodgers actually sign with the Jets?

From what I'm reading, it's still being negotiated since the Packers want a haul of picks and compensation. This is not yet a done deal by any means. However, I am hoping that it happens. It sounds like the asking price is two 1st rounders and additional picks. It would be beautiful if Rodgers went there for one season, played fairly well, then retired. That would be the most Jets thing to do ever!

LOL, the Packers could just keep him...which would likely make him retire. Problem solved. I like the path where they fleece the Jets a lot more though, it's the Packer way.

And they're both 40 or older.

You can call people delusional all you want. But right now, you believe it's a good move to do whatever it takes to land a QB who only has one suitor in the NY Jets, and for good reason.

The good reason is because Rodgers gets to choose where he wants to go AND only so many teams are willing to spend massive amounts of cash upfront, have draft picks, and are win now, and need a QB.

You will have to wait to see him in person with our offense. The Jets offense was putrid, but looked much better under him.

The same game Allen's stats were
    16-27 147yards 59.3% completion 5.4 86.5

Dude it's so frustrating, because all these posters COMPLETELY IGNORE the points you're making, and instead continue to parrot a false narrative.

LOL. WTF are you talking about? They averaged 27 points per game in the games Tua started and finished. That average is 4th highest in the league. And that is with a suspect running game.

Seriously? Only in Miami do fans consistently blame the QB as the center of the offense when things to bad and deflect all credit when things go well.

He had a 104 passer rating in the cold against the Bills and completely destroyed GB before the concussion. Those 6 quarters were the end of his season.

You are looking at two games (SF and LAC) and claiming he was figured out. Just BS.

And? Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

REGARDLESS, my main concern is his ability to stay healthy for an entire season. It doesn't matter how good he actually is, if he can't stay on the field.

AND??? You claimed the offense was sucky the last few games Tua was in. The 49 points scored in his last 6 quarters (before the concussion) DIRECTLY REFUTES THAT.

BS. That is NOT the "concern" I was responding to. You have been raising nonsensical "concerns" about his performance while playing.

Remember Tiger Woods? When Tiger was ranked number 1 in the world for a couple years, he had his first injury and the issue with Elin, and he missed like a year of golf and then struggled to ever regain form? He remained number 1 in golf ranking, for like two or three years, because of all the previous wins.

But no one was saying he was still the greatest current player, when he hadn't played in two years, REGARDLESS of how long he stayed number one because of averages.

Tua and the Dolphins had some great games during the early to middle part of the season. Then Tua was hurt and playing poorly, and the offense sucked again, and he missed a bunch of games. Those early games propped him up massively.

Nonsense yourself. I've REPEATEDLY stated, since he was drafted, started that I think he will have a decent career, barring injury. My MAIN CONCERN at this point IS his ability to stay healthy. I continue to talk about his play/deficiencies because people continue to act like he didn't struggle last season. He did, especially when teams forced him to throw to outside, and clogged the middle of the field.

His FINAL TWO GAMES (if not for the concussion against GB) had the offense scoring ABOVE HIS AVERAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His lowest point total occurred in week SEVEN. You are literally talking about a TWO GAME STRETCH. In only one of those games (LAC) did the defensive scheme cause issues. The SF game was just a bad game by Tua. Guys were open right where they had been all season. He just missed a ton of throws that game.

Irrelevant since that is not the "concern" I was responding to.

If having a bad game or two is considered struggling for the season, then every QB struggled last season and nearly every season.

Mahomes had 5 games with a passer rating below 90. Tua had 2 (in games he finished). Josh Allen had 7. Burrow had 5. Did they all struggle last season?

Taking the concussions out of the equation and looking solely at performance this past season I really don't know what Tua could have done any better to prove himself. Everyone has a few bad games a year but Tua can't and on top of that when he does have some great games the credit goes to his wide receivers. It's unlike anything I've ever seen from the media and our own fan base. Personally I'm pumped for next season when Tua comes back even better than last year. Have faith my friends.
