Reality, or pre-draft smokescreen? Precursor to a play for Lamar? Hmmmm…. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-shopping-qb-plus-five-logical-landing-spots/
1) It’s from Florio 2) Trade value for QBs that the team has given up on is very low, which goes against Belichek’s philosophy of buy low/sell high. 3) Not sure anyone thinks Mac Jones is anything more than a backup/stop-gap/low tier starter at this point. So what the Pats will get in return will be less than what they give up. 4) He’s still on his rookie deal so there isn’t any salary cap advantage to moving on from him. Not saying it can’t happen, but I would be surprised if it did.i
Lol Macy where you going man? You’ve got Devante Parker and Mike Gesicki as your top two targets Wait for it…. LOL
don't discount the grumpy old coach who doesn't have patience for the mediocre QB that whines publicly about his situation. BB knows he's not contending right now. The whole New England area knows it too.
Bill is not happy with his qb: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...360|MCORGID=10D31225525FF5790A490D4D@AdobeOrg
the sh**** thing is, we all knew Mac wasn't as good as Tua. Not that he's a bust (in New England), the fans here don't care because they are so fairweather in this area. takes all the fun out of trash talking
Perhaps Bill should be looking in the mirror after the Patricia/Judge debacle as co-OCs. The phins had just spent a year proving what a horrible idea co-OCs is then he went and did it for the same results. Also tne phins had just spent the best part of a decade showing Bill just how badly dysfunctional OCs affect QBs. Sherman/Lazor/Gase for Tannehill then the bozos Flores hired with Tua, and surprise surprise both QBs performed much better when given actual good coaching.
Belichick's hubris is off the charts. His QB tried to get advice from trusted sources outside the team and Bill is giving him a hard way to go. It's not like the offensive coaching staff put Jones in a position to succeed last year.
Belichick was never really good at drafting quarterbacks. He lucked into getting Tom Brady. And the only other QBs drafted by him that went on to have somewhat of a significant career is Matt Cassel, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Jacoby Brissett.
Following on from yesterday with the no.1 pick, there's a rumour picking up steam on Reddit that the Patriots are trading up to 2 for a deal that included Mac Jones along with this year and next year's first round picks.
Wow, that would be some exciting drama! Stroud will be off the board and hopefully they don't grab Richardson...we don't need another future Josh Allen in the AFC East.
