I hope so that would be awesome Jet fans are so cocky right now they don’t even entertain the idea that rodgers is going anywhere else
I hope it doesn't happen. I really, REALLY want the Jets to land Rogers just so I can see it blow up in their faces.
Jets beat up on a lot of bad quarterbacks last season. That defense is overrated. I hope they get Rodgers, because his personality, combined with the New York media, a below average offensive line, bad coaching and a young team that think they're studs already should be very entertaining.
Exactly But ooooo we’re supposed to be afraid of the MONSTERS” No ****ing dolphin fan calls the jets “monsters” no matter what Gtfohwts
Worst case has always been Jets make a real run at Lamar. Even if Rodgers is still elite its just 1 or 2 years.
I hope either: 1. Rodgers goes to the Jets, they fall flat this year, he gets pissy and takes his ball and goes home, leaving them hanging. 2. The deal goes south, Rodgers goes to the 49ers, and the Jets are left with Wilson and Flacco next year.
I’m against it for 2 reasons. Firstly I’m rooting for Brock Purdy to succeed. Secondly I’m looking forward to the impending dumpster fire of the NY media -v- Aaron Rodgers. Hopefully it’s just Rodger’s agent or the Packers stirring the pot to get the Jets to sign on the dotted line before the draft.
I think that’s the best case. Run first QB’s don’t last long in the NFL as those hits add up. Once he loses that extra gear, he’s going to be a below average pocket QB with mobility. Not to mention a big contract that could bog them down for a couple years.
I think Purdy’s elbow has people in SF nervous. Even he admitted that there’s a chance he could miss the 2023 season. You would think that this would need to resolved by Thursday, unless the Packers are willing to take back ‘24 picks.
Purdy had surgery and will most likely miss most of 2023. The 49ers certainly don't trust Lance to be the guy, I can see him being traded on draft night. This opens the door for San Francisco if Green Bay is willing to trade him to an NFC team. I see they signed Sam Darnold as well. I wouldn't be happy with him as the starting QB on Week 1 either.
I'll lean towards it being a smokescreen by the Packers to try and get a first out of Jets (Whether it's this years or 2024 is another question). That being said 49ers having Rodgers for a year whilst Purdy heals does make a suspiciously high level of sense. Not sure they have the draft firepower though with them lacking either a first or a second this year and giving up draft capital in next year's draft when the player might not be in on your team by then seems rich.
If Aaron Rodgers does go to the Jets, everyone has to remember…we’re still talking about the JETS!!! Everyone remembers what happened when the Jets traded for Favre, don’t they? They fell short to us and, in poetic Justice form, with Chad Pennington as our quarterback…the QB the Jers kicked to the curb for Favre. Not that I want to see Tua hurt, but wouldn’t it just be an utter testament to the failure of Jets football if they do land Rodgers, Tua is out and Mike White we’re to win against the Jets? Oh how I love to hate the Jets.
For a second, I thought you were going to claim we were going to make the playoffs with Zach Wilson as our QB. EDIT: Is the more likely response that it would be a former Miami QB in this scenario as the Jets could make a move for Tannehill at that point?
Just because you are delusional about Rodgers doesn't mean I have to be. Jets had a top 3 defense, contended for the division, and was rolling out straight trash at QB. They have 13, 42, 43, 112, 143, 207 picks this year in the draft at the moment. Load of cap space in 2024. Jets are going to be a big problem if they have Rodgers the next 2 seasons.
Its definitely can't be the best case. His longevity is in question for sure but he is 26 and the Jets currently have no QB and very likely will have no QB 12 months from now.
It is because he can’t stay healthy, has posted around an 89 QB rating over the last 2 seasons which puts him around 20th in the nfl and wants top 5 money.
They could be dangerous. Had one of the best drafts from last year and have 2 top 2 round picks this year. Meanwhile Grier still trying out Austin Jackson at RT
Maybe, but not sure our QB will be healthy in 12 months. Definitely wouldn’t want Jackson in any of those 12 months. He hasn’t played a full season since his rookie year. Not going to stay healthy. Once he loses that gear, going to be a below average starting QB.
Well, he was banged up last year and was the MVP the previous 2 years. Maybe he’s washed up and old or maybe he’s Brady and has a few years left him. Definitely worth rolling the dice for a potential all-pro QB.
Still their best case is they are very much in the mix for a year or two. The worst case is they are absolutely boned after this season with no pick and no QB. Dolphin fans shouldn't celebrate this news but they also shouldn't be too upset either.
Lol, step aside with that horse****. You and I BOTH know EXACTLY what I meant. Your mask is falling off.
