The NFL’s 2023 schedule will be released on Thursday night. The league made it official this afternoon, announcing that the full schedule will be released Thursday at 8 p.m. ET with special programs on both NFL Network and ESPN.

A preview of the full schedule will come on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, with NFL Network and ESPN announcing international games, Amazon announcing the first-ever Black Friday game, and select games being revealed on Fox & Friends, CBS Mornings, the Today show and Good Morning America.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reportedly met with the league’s schedule makers today to make the final determination on the biggest games of the season, and now the schedule is set.

I'm planning on going to my first game in Miami this year so I'm anxious to see which home games I can make.

Well we already know WHO we’re going to play but like Tuanon above, it would be nice to see who were going to play when. At least one great thing is we should only have 2 games outside of the eastern time zone if memory services me correctly.

I say this year the home games against the AFC East opponents be played in Miami in December. We’ll go north in September.

I'll be at the Dolphins-Chargers game again. The parking to tailgate was $180 but it was worth it.

For the first time ever, no network will be tied to any Sunday afternoon games. No network is tied to any of the 1:00 p.m. ET and 4:05 p.m./4:25 p.m. ET games. For years, CBS was the default network for the NFC, with NBC handling the AFC games. Then, in 1994, Fox stole the NFC package from CBS. Four years later, CBS took the AFC package from NBC. Now, there is no “package” for either network. What started as periodic cross-flexing will become open season.

That will only intensify the jockeying and politicking that occurs as the networks compete for as many of the best games as possible. Fox, for example, no longer has a stranglehold on the Cowboys, and CBS can no longer lay claim to the Chiefs or the Patriots (or, for at least this year, the Jets).

Under the old rules, CBS had all Sunday afternoon games involving two AFC teams — and any interconference games in which the AFC team was the visitor. Fox had all Sunday afternoon games involving two NFC teams, along with any interconference games with the NFC team on the road.

As noted by Peter King in Monday’s Football Morning in America column, the change is complicating the process of crafting the schedule. With the AFC currently the far more competitive of the conferences, it’s coming at a perfect time for Fox, which gladly will give up its stranglehold on NFC games for a big slice of the AFC pie.

And it will become a fascinating wrinkle when the time comes to examine the schedule and see whether it’s a 50-50 split, or whether there is still evidence in the assignment of games that the NFC skews toward Fox, and the AFC to CBS.

Good luck and have fun. I happened to go to my one and only game in Miami in 2007 of all years. 30th birthday trip. Not only did they lose the game, but it was delayed by lightning, and then a huge storm hit and soaked us to the bone. At least that's less of an issue now after the renovations.

They took the Dolphins Chiefs game to Germany, what a way to screw over both fan basis!

It's great news that the Dolphins don't have to play at Arrowhead.

I was thinking at least it wasn't a home game we were sending overseas again.

On Wednesday, we learned that the Jets will be hosting one of the high profile games on this year’s schedule. The NFL is playing a game on Black Friday for the first time this year and it will feature the Jets hosting the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium.

The Friday, November 24 game will be played at 3 p.m. ET and it will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

Rodgers spent some time with the Dolphins during the holiday season in 2022 as well. He led the Packers to a win in Miami on Christmas Day in a game that also saw Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffer a season-ending concussion.

So much for Tyreek Hill returning to Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed had barely finished saying that he and his teammates were eager to welcome Hill back to Kansas City when the NFL announced that the highly anticipated Dolphins-Chiefs game won’t be played at Arrowhead after all.

Instead, the Week Nine game between the Dolphins and Chiefs will be played in Frankfurt, Germany. It’s technically a Chiefs home game, but the fans in Kansas City will be watching on TV. That’s surely a disappointment for Chiefs season ticket holders, who had circled the return of Hill as one of the marquee games of this season. But the NFL is serious about growing its fan base in Germany, and part of that effort includes scheduling some of the best games of the year for Germany.

Dolphins-Chiefs should be a very good game, one of the best that the NFL has played overseas.

That’s what I was hoping. This year we get the extra home game. I would have been livid if we gave up the home game.

I’ve traveled overseas and I can honestly tell you how brutal jet lag can be. I hate it when we play in Europe

We don't lose a home game, and don't have to play at one of the most hostile venues in the league. Its a win for Miami, and gives us our best chance to beat KC.

Buffalo, New England, KC, Jacksonville and Tennessee all lost home games as well, which is a boost to our playoff chances.

don't like us having to go to Kansas City / Ravens / Eagles all on the road where some other acc teams get them all at home. Im looking at an 9-8 record at this point in time. Fighting for a wildcard spot.

The Bills play @ Philly, @ KC, @ CIN, @LAC and @ WAS. That's hardly easy. They also lost a home game to overseas. As far as the schedule goes, we're pretty much on even footing with them for the moment. We'll see how it all looks tomorrow.

right! so that screws up the game. both teams have to deal with it, but would rather have both teams with no excuses and at there best physically.

The full slate of 17 opponents for every NFL team became known the moment the 2022 regular season ended. As specific games from specific weeks are announced, the schedules take on more and more meaning.

The Jets will face plenty of great teams in 2022, making the road in the first season with Aaron Rodgers not an easy one. Ideally, it would be useful to get a few manageable games on the docket early, in order to rack up a few Ws and lay the foundation for a playoff run.

While the schedule beyond Week One isn’t known, we know this: the Jets open with a visit from the defending AFC East champs, the Bills.

It’s a huge game for the Jets, for obvious reasons. And for non-obvious reasons.

Given the overall difficulty of the schedules of the teams of the AFC East, with each one playing six division games and all four of them playing the full slate of AFC West and NFC East teams, it’s entirely possible that only the AFC East division champion will earn a playoff spot. So if the Jets lose to the Bills to cap Week One, the Jets would face losing the head-to-head tiebreaker if the Bills complete the sweep during the rematch in Buffalo.

With an 0-2 record against the Bills, the Jets would have to make up three games in the remaining 15 contests to capture the AFC East crown from Buffalo.

So, yes, it’s a big game for the Jets. The first of many. And then the Jets will have one fewer day to get ready for Week Two, against a team that will have had at least a full week to prepare.

Former NFL Network analyst Mike Giardi confirmed Jordan Schultz’s report that the Dolphins and New England Patriots will do battle on Sunday night in Week 2 at Gillette Stadium. This means Miami and New England won’t play in the season opener for the first time since 2019.

We start two weeks on the road. The only other stretch is at the Jests in Week 12 and at the Commoners in Week 13. I like that.

Last year’s germany game looked like a lot of fun.. they put on a great event for that whole week and the stadium, which i believe is where Bayern Munich plays, was just a great environment for football.. you never see crowds like that in the NFL, the crowds here are just flat

the NFL most likely promised Germany some fireworks.. and theyre getting plenty of it with Mahomes, Hill and Waddle

You know what's REALLY good about this schedule? I only see 3 cold weather games...and that's not really all that guaranteed in Washington and Balitmore.

I’m actually kinda glad we’re getting that west coast game out of the way from the start. Nothing sucks worse than having to make that cross country trip mid-season…and on a 3 game road trip

Taking yet another look at our schedule, did anyone notice we leave the eastern time zone only twice?

Season opener against the Chargers and the Frankfurt game against the Chiefs. Other than that, no insane multiple cross country trips.

I disagree with him in a couple of picks as well but I’ll go so far as to predict this…

If we beat Buffalo on week 4 and go 4-0, we’re beating Philadelphia.

If we beat Philadelphia, we’re beating Kansas City

Question- did anyone else get annoyed with the "launch party" built around the new schedule being released? We do all look forward to it but to me, it just felt sensationalized this year and it sort of annoyed me. The analysts on TV only made it worse when they'd reveal a match-up like it was earth shattering news or something.

Overall we have a tough schedule and I always dislike tough games the final few weeks. Buffalo, Baltimore, and Dallas? Really? LOL. I can see 9 or 10 wins if our team plays average for their talent, and several more wins if this D really comes together and Tua stays healthy. Lots and lots of early winnable games with only Buffalo, Philly, and KC standing out as scary in the first 13 weeks.

I guess the Jets are the wildcard of our schedule- how stout will they be this season? I hope they're pretty good because I love rooting against the stinkin' Jets when they have a real shot at winning.

One last thing- Go Heat! Go Panthers! Go Marlins! South Florida is having one heck of a month in sports and it's a lot of fun to watch. If we win the Stanley Cup and the NBA championship, that makes me all the more excited for the Dolphins to have a legendary season.
