Tampa had a roster that was a couple of years in the making and ready for a super bowl run but were being held back by sub-par QB play. Brady walked into the perfect scenario. The Jets roster is not close to being ready for a super bowl run. Rodgers can lift them up but I don't see them carrying him if he goes thru a rough patch.

All I hear is how elite the Jets defense is and were only a quarterback away from being a Superbowl contender.

    Slightly left of center
And thus order is restored to the multi-verse and the days of milk and honey return.

Will Brinson of cbssports.com checks in:

    AFC East
    1. Buffalo Bills (12-5) -- Division winner
    2. New York Jets (10-7)* -- Wild-card team
    3. New England Patriots (9-8)
    4. Miami Dolphins (8-9)
A very easy selection for me at the top: Buffalo might be "down" after failing to beat the Chiefs again, but this roster is still loaded and -- last I checked -- Josh Allen is still very, very good. The presence of Aaron Rodgers can put up for debate "best quarterback in the division" but I'll still take Allen relative to the continuity issues each of them face. If the Jets offense takes flight out of the gate -- without any delays, even -- this could be a different story. And I think the Jets will push Buffalo here as long as Rodgers stays upright and healthy. But Buffalo is great value in the betting market and definitely strong value in the prediction market if everyone and their brother is dabbling in Big Apple futures.

I saw someone else make their picks with the Bills at only 10-6, but us still in last place and missing the playoffs. Putting us below NE is just so freaking insulting.

Whether or not we win the division (which I personally think we will), I’m going to enjoy seeing the Jets finish last…just to stick it to these know it all sports writers

Jets are so often last place in the AFC East though. They ended last 6 out of the last 7 years. So it's not an uncommon event. Personally I'd like to see NE finish last for once. Last time they finished last in the division was 2000!!!

Belichick is only 19 wins away from having more total wins (regular season + playoffs) than Don Shula, and for me that's the more important issue. He's 71 and if he has two more losing seasons (NE has now had 2 losing seasons in the past 3) it's just possible he doesn't beat Shula's record. Not betting on it, but there's a chance. So I want NE to lose as much as possible until Belichick retires.

Belichick has had the advantage of 16 game seasons during his head coaching career. Shula accumulated a good amount of his wins when the league was still on the 14 game season…so Belichick can go suck a bag of Richards!!!

Last place finishes in the AFC East since realignment in 2002:

    Jets: 9
    Bills: 7
    Dolphins: 5
    Patriots: 0

The Fins have finished in last place in their division the same number of times as the Chiefs and Broncos have in theirs, but Miami is the team that gets branded a loser.

I'd say 2-4 can we swapped. I go Jets, Phins, Patriots.
