While I am sure there are many that have issues with some of Ron Paul's opinions on certain policies, he has been dead on for years about the Federal Reserve.

I believe it was on Wednesday. Paul is exactly correct in the FED is now trying to price fix subprime debt that no one will touch right now.

Technically they would hold auction thereby letting the Market set the bid. No?

Even with an auction how can you come up with a correct and accurate price on something with no market? The FED is creating the market and fictitious prices by having the auction to begin with.

Thats why private equity is not stepping in to buy up these securities, no one wants to run the risk and there is no bid or ask.

That is great, Rogers was awesome there. His theme, when its Bearish buy, and when its Bullish sell and if it is in between do a little of both. Just the opposite of what the average investor does...

The school of Buffet. Takes discipline and can be gut wrenching.
All I know is that I wish I had more money to invest at this very moment and back in July.

I watched Ron Paul during the testimony live on Wednesday. It was the highlight of the day for me. They interviewed him a little afterward and it was an even stronger message.

Jim Rogers is awesome. BTV interviews him pretty frequently, and I remember him losing it over one of the earlier bailouts (I'm starting to confuse them since there's been so many :( )
