Some pretty good games today. Jaguars and Texans went into OT and the Jaguars won by a field goal (30-27). Matt Schaub finally played a good game but a telling stat is that he's 0-10 in his career on the road and overall is 4-11 as a starter. Rosenfels needs to get in there, they're 4-1 with him.

Chiefs and Broncos was a good game until the end. Shouldn't be a too big of a surprise because the Broncos play no defense but it is still a surprise. Cutler two interceptions and the Broncos have two fumbles. Brandon Carr, the KC DB, finally showed me why I was high on him when he came out. He has a pick and a recovered fumble that he returned to the two yard line. Larry Johnson with nearly 200 yards. Prayer for Cliff Russell I believe who was carted off in this game.

Cleveland finally won behind the mediocre Derek Anderson. The Bengals once again had no run game and having Palmer out didn't help. Hey! Braylon Edwards caught a ball and officially has more receptions than dropped balls. About time Braylon, about time...

Jets look to wrap up a 48-35 win against the Cardinals.Great defense guys. If Ronnie Brown was playing, he would have shattered Dub Jones record of TD's in one game. Prayers go out to Boldin.

Aaron Rodgers left the GB-TB game with a shoulder injury and the Packers lost by nine. Better hope its not a long period he's out. Good luck Matt Flynn! Special appreciation for Matt Bryant. Kicked the FG and broke down in tears.

Tennessee is about to wrap up another win, barring a two touchdown comeback by the Vikings in the last four minutes. Told some of you Kerry Collins can get the job done behind that ridiculous defense. Btw, people need to keep Haynesworth in the head so he can get another concussion. The guy is a monster when dazed.

Raiders up 5-0 on Chargers. Only in Oakland could you have a score like that. Raider Nation baby! LT fumbles in the endzone.

Rams up one on the undefeated Bills. Hate saying that btw. Bills always struggle in dome games. Keep an eye on the dysfunctional Rams.

EDIT: Rams up a touchdown and one. C'mon Rams!

These late games are kind of crazy... all three are upsets at the moment. Skins are about to score to take the lead over the Cowboys. I'm not holding my breath on that Rams game... but praying the Bills lose for sure!

And KC beat the Broncos ... oops. Looking ahead maybe, a horrible loss for them. That defense precludes them from being a serious contender imo.

Nasty nasty hit on Boldin, hope nothing serious in the long run, horrible.

Skins looking to score again btw.

I'm waiting for one of the 'boys DB's to jump Moss' slant route. They're secondary is questionable though.

I agree. I don't see Broncos being a serious contender with that defense either. Offense can only take you so far.

I'm watching the Raiders and bolts game on TV and the bolts are getting over played by the Raiders. If the Riaders win, how can you fire Kiffin? hahhaha. Good for kiffin and the players.

Eh, as long as Kiffin keeps opening his mouth to the press, he'll be on the hotseat and will likely be gone. I'll tell you what though, Russell is managing games for them. They may not be winning them but he's done a nice job. Poor completion percentage but a high rating. I believe he has the highest 4th quarter QB rating in the league. It's only a matter of time before teams take away his security blanket, Zach Miller, though. Also, Michael Bush is showing why he was considered a first round pick prior to his injury. McFadden can't pick up blitzers worth squat.

Not very smart for the 'skins to let up a FG at the end of the half and now they scored. TO carried everyone into the endzone lol.

DeAngelo Hall has a pick today.

The Redskins impress me offensively. I bashed them in the first week when they laid an egg. They're making me eat crow right now. Beautiful play by Randle El and Campbell. Rabach is killing them right now.

RE: fins4o8 - Yeah, Russell has managed the games well. If they fire Kiffin, his development could go down the tubes.

RE: texanphinatic - I love watching Owens play but he is stoppable. I also can't wait to see Moss blow up lol. :hi5:

Nice play by Chris Horton. He's a nice steal so far.

What exactly is Russell managing? His only decent game was week one against the Broncos, which meant nothing because both touchdowns and a good percentage of the yards were in garbage time in the 4th quarter. Don't get me wrong I love the guy, but he is not going to do anything playing under Lane Kiffin. Kiffin's playcalling is horrendous and after the first half it's the same plays over and over. The Raiders need a coach who can take advantage of Russells arm, and call plays similar to the one today where he hooked up with Zach Miller.

He hasn't had great performances but he hasn't turned the ball over in the passing game until today. He had only one interception in 133 pass attempts before today. He's done what was asked which was basically, don't throw away the game. They lost games because of their inability to play defense. In the games they lost, they've given up an average of 32.5 points per game.

The Raiders have a solid defense. Aside from week one, their defense has been tremendous in the first half. The reason for their struggles is terrible play calling, the offense gets conservative in the second half and Rob Ryan starts playing prevent defense. Hall has to back up too far and gets picked apart because of that, and they stop pressuring the QB all together. The Raiders have had 3 and outs in just about every one of their drives in the 3rd-4th quarters the past two weeks. Then when Russell does get his opportunity's in the 1st-2nd quarters he doesn't deliver. Against the chiefs he started off 5 for 14 believe, and against the Bills he started off around the same. How has he done whats being asked from him? The fact that he hasn't thrown 0 interceptions in 133 attempts doesn't mean anything. If you can't take your team down the field into the end zone and when you constantly have 3 and outs, you're not doing so well.

They're defense has struggled in the second half like you said. They're blowing leads like today and against Buffalo. Ryan's bad playcalling does contribute to their losses. Kiffin hasn't called the best plays for Russell like you mentioned so that may contribute to some of his struggles. I'm not exactly sure, you could be right. He has made some plays for them though, 9 plays over 20 yards including two of 63 and 84. They've basically asked him to not throw away the game as I said before. He hasn't thrown away the game but he hasn't exactly helped in the scoring department either like you said.

He hasn't thrown away any games, but when he does get his chances in the first half he hasn't been good, prior to todays game. But again he's only had 5 career starts and he doesn't exactly have the best players around him. The receivers are awful and playing behind Kwame Harris is not a good thing. But he has showed promise and the Raiders are keeping themselves in games. They just need to learn how to finish games off, and that starts with firing Kiffin.

Bills and Titans are only 4-0 teams left then I think, with the bye week Giants at 3-0. This year is WIDE open man. Still want to see the Bills play some top teams, but 4-0 is a good start, and the Titans D is just a nasty bunch.
