Yeah well the mets can start winning any day instead of almost getting no hit too.... I love ownership and even the manager and GM but Stearns needs to realize this isnt Milwaukee and when you try and bargain hunt starting pitchers and settle for Frankie Montas types people are going to wonder wtf youre thinking.... And any time Mark Vientos feels like hitting again, along with the rest of the team, just give a ring. We miss 2024 Vientos.
My Mariners are on a tear. And still don't have our full starting rotation healthy but the offense is working from 1-9. I'm feeling it. We're going to win the division this year. And since I've always said the Dolphins and Mariners are in synchronous orbit around the universe, The Dolphins are going to win the AFCE. Book it.
The last five weeks have been hard to watch, as a Cubs fan. If they get down, then thats it, they stay down. They've lost 11.5 games in the standings to the Brewers over this time, despite still holding the third best record in the NL.
Mets finally moved Frankie montas to the bullpen. Anyone in keeper fantasy baseball leagues will want to pick up Nolan Maclean, debuting this weekend.
Thanks for making McLeans debut look splendid. He looked every part of a top prospect. Excited to see what he can develop in to having just committed to pitching full time 2 years ago.
First time to be watching the Little League Classic game. Gotta say well effing done by MLB. Fantastic! Love seeing the Big Boys with the young boys. Such a GREAT Baseball thing. Lovin all of it
As Kyle Tucker finally wakes up and gets his act together, he and Pete Crow Armstrong become the first pair of Cubs players to go 20/20 in the same season ever, in the 150-year history of the franchise. If Tucker stays hot, then maybe they can become the first to get to 30/30 as well. PCA needs just two HR, while KT needs 10/5.
Hell Yeah Cal Raleigh! The Big Dumper is now the record holder with HRs in first and 2nd innings today! Most HR by a Catcher in MLB History. Cal should absolutely get the MVP this year.
Could go either way in MVP. Raleigh is certainly setting records and having a great year. Judges OPS+ is literally double the league average. Both make strong cases imo.
If you have fantasy leagues, especially keeper or dynasty leagues, the mets just called up Jonah Tong. Im more excited for this then just about anything else this year for the Mets. Truly believe this is their next great pitching prospect.
I'm actually unfamiliar with him and I follow the minors fairly closely. Thats cool to know. Maybe we can to a MLB fantasy league here next year.
His stuff is basically on the level of Andrew Painter and probably a bit better then Bubba Chandler. Doesn't throw 100 though. He will sit in the 94-96. Since he started throwing his change up more his stats exploded as have his K rates. The best comp I can make is the delivery of Tim Lincecum (minus the arm issues hopefully). The change up elicits memories of Johan Santana. Obviously the hope is hes as good as either of those guys.
Arm issues are a plague right now, but it goes all the way down to before the kids are even in high school. There really has to be a fundamental shift in how they're working and treating these kids so that they don't wear out and fall apart so quickly. Velocity isn't the end all, and frankly its been bad for the MLB game regardless.
