They drove the ball and then take Tua out. They need more reps. I don’t understand this.

Ross should fire McD on the spot. This is year 4, not 1 or 2. That was a complete lack of preparation. Even if the team plays better in other games, there's no reason to think it will win a playoff game this year excepting some unimaginable miracle. We need new leadership.

Now for whatever reason, Ross refuses to fire Grier regardless of team performance. Assuming that remains the case, the solution (which is often done in corporate management) is to simply shift power elsewhere. Make it clear to the new HC that the HC has final say, even on personnel issues, with Grier reporting to him regardless of title. It would've been better if Ross came from the tech world instead of real estate because such turnover happens a lot quicker in tech.

Anyway, I'll be disappointed if McD isn't fired as soon as possible. The new HC should decide on personnel.

Wilson is going to be starting in the very near future. The team is going to need more of a playmaker at the position.

Lol watching the Jests game and Ramsey just laid a MASSIVE hit on Wilson to end the ballgame.

But seriously, they looked solid. Aaron Glenn has the potential to be a very solid coach there. I like him more than Vrabel tbh.

When the Bills lose tonight we’re all in the same boat.

A loss is not at all the same as what the Dolphins did today.

I know what you're saying, but this was way worse than just losing a game that you were competitive in.

    This offense is cooked.

Oh i got Wilson and Ewers both starting at some point this season.. if its not because we just suck and need a change, itll be because tua got another concussion again/injured

It's clearly isn't just another loss. It's the end of another 3-4 year experimentation period. A new rebuild is most likely coming up given Ross' penchant for firing underperforming HCs after 3-4 years.

Team was competitive for a quarter and a half maybe, against a lower tier opponent. What else is there to say?

Good news is we still have Tua so there's hope he'll get injured and we lose enough to get a good draft pick.

We don't need a Tua injury to suck. This team is going nowhere. The signs were there when we scrimmaged against Detroit and they mollywhopped us despite holding back some. McDaniel is not an NFL head coach. The way I see it is a team takes on the identity of their coach. He sets the example for what is expected. Do any of you honestly see McDaniel holding any of these guys accountable? I don't. It's a free fall daycare center he's running and it shows on the field. Our guys were totally unprepared for today. One of the most atrocious opening day games I've seen in six years. Regardless, we can expect them to look different next week. Tua will probably have a better game, but I don't think it'll matter. We may already be playing for Arch Manning.

Tua, McDaniel, Grier, get rid of them all. I want Grier gone so bad that I’m willing to sacrifice everybody to make it happen

Just finished watching the game on DVR. I never judge a season on the first game but this was an utter embarrassment! The offense couldn't move the ball, the defense couldn't stop the Colts...just a pure sh!t show.

If Miami doesn't bounce back in a resounding and dominating manner next week, it's over. Sadly though, until Ross fires Chris Grier, it's going to be the same revolving door of unproven first year head coaches, a WEAK offensive line and a roster with overpaid veterans that only spend a year or two in Miami and unable to build to the next level.

Lol its been like 15 years since ive logged in that site.. that site is insufferable… im sure they got a few of the same guys from back then blaming everyone else but Tua.. Tua didnt throw any int’s, didnt fumble, his teammates caused him to do it.. and that he actually played great

they did it with Henne back when i used to post there..

The Culpepper Manifesto thread is an all time classic of homerism

Which quarter was that? Wasn't the first quarter, when they had the ball under 3 minutes and the one possession was an int. First 4 possessions which spaced the entire half first half I think, were two punts and an int and a dumble. Hahaha.

They were never ever competitive ever in this game. When they finally scored, in the 4th, it was 23-8, right?

We weren't competitive at all in this game. Team came out completely flat. North Carolina would have put up a better fight.

I didn't watch the entire game since I'm 12 hours ahead of you guys, but the best news I can share is that only counted for exactly 1 loss. They deserved 2 or 3, in my opinion, so we're blessed starting just 0-1.

Great teams are made by games like this. And I know, how could THAT team possibly be great? They got punched in the mouth and lost their pride. They're a joke. I get it. But for the Miami Dolphins, football just got really really personal. They're not playing for money or contracts next week, they're playing for pride. Either they get back up and avenge that horrid performance or huge changes are coming.

Hopefully all of you are wrong and this team has enough pride to take the road less traveled in the NFL. Hopefully they're absolute beasts next week to prove this was a fluke. Hopefully.

The maths nerd has got to be first in line for a HC sacking this season. And he can take Tua Turntheballover with him.

We look like an outdated offense.. it’s been the same core players for years, with very little growth.

yea that group put up big numbers 2 years ago offensively when Tua was available.. the offense has not evolved since, they have gradually gone down and this season looks like they went to a steep downhill.

the defense… bunch of guys on the team that probably wouldn't he starters on other teams or may have been a roster cut on other teams.. we are just putting any no name guys out there

I'm just going to repost my optimist post from the club thread:

There are weird week one games every season. If that isn't what this was, and odds are it wasn't, then there is an early off season this year to look forward to. A reason to pay attention to college football

the corners are obviously barely backup worthy but the defensive front is talented and boy did they not show it.

You have to fire McDaniel the friday after the Bills game assuming they are 0-3. Let Weaver have a shot.

As a dolphins fan, as a teenager around 2003 ive always leaned to watch more college football.. my saturdays have always been more enjoyable than sundays… it can easily flip the day the dolphins ever get serious. Lots of regime change since 2003 and still the same clown show just different faces
