My biggest hope for a W tomorrow is the Florida heat, humidity and sun that the Patriots have to endure the whole game while our guys are sitting in the shade.
Miami got punched in the mouth week one. Will they punch back in week 2? I hope so. I don't think McDaniel's team (or Tua) has lost to the Pats yet, have they?
I really hope they win this. One of my neighbours is a Patricia's fan and has an air of supreme smugness about it. Ah well, at least he's known some success in his lifetime. Not that he's been a Tricia for as long as I've suffered being a Dolphin. Probably only followed them because of their success.
For me Key, after last week's embarrassing loss to the Colts, it's not a "win" I'm looking for. I need to see dominance. I need to see dominance in the trenches...the offensive line instilling their will against the Patriots defensive line. I need to see the defensive line push the LOS into the backfield and stop runs for losses...sack the quarterback. This is what I NEED to see. If we can win in the trenches, we can dominate the game. If we just happen to squeak out a win against Patriots, it's not going to be enough for me
Dolphins place right tackle Austin Jackson on IR https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46246728/dolphins-place-right-tackle-austin-jackson-ir
Once again first read got picked up by the defense and tua doesnt know what to do with the ball next.
I said the day we drafted him that it was an awful pick.. he was a revolving door in USC who had a great combine..
With the combination of both concussion and hip injuries it's absolutely possible. The OnlyPhins guys made the comment he's a 27 year old who looks and plays like a 47 year old. And CBrad made the comment that a dumb team may give us a high round pick but there is just no way if this continues. If the injuries and contract weren't enough to scare people away, add just flat out bad play to it and there is no chance. Our best bet to get out of that cap hit may be medical retirement if you can convince him to.
Damn, I thought we were a halfway decent team. Guess we‘re far from it, Dolphins never stop to surprise in bad ways…
This is another pathetic performance by the Dolphins. Two words in a row, one possession, basically, in the first, and Tua hit bailed out on the pick. How many years do we have to watch the Dolphins come out flat in the first half game in and game out? McDaniel should be relieved of his job at halftime.
Yup. That's why he basically took the year off before his big contract, he wanted to guarantee he would stay healthy and get paid. While knowing his ****ing hip is shot and his brain is almost pudding.
This defense may be team history bad.. we look soft, out of shape, un athletic/not explosive.. i dont think its a coaching issue.. i think its a skill issue.. I dont think chubb, minkah, judo. makes a difference, you can bench them or olay them and its the same result. if a team calls offering a late pick for any of them im letting them go because with or without them the defense is bad
And folks have called for McDaniel’s firing and giving Weaver a shot? His defense has allowed a score on EVERY possession this season. I’m at the point of firing him after this game.
A big part of the problem is Grier intentionally kneecapped him with that secondary. Like, what even is that? Not only are they just bad in general, but a lot of those guys (Jack Jones, Storm Duck) don't even work in the zone schemes Weaver was supposed to run. If Grier is not the first person fired this season something is horrendously wrong.
