Sieler made a play and had a legit chance for a block. It's a tough penalty and it might be the play that changes the game. I feel for the guy...nothing he could have done once he missed the block.

Dude, he just telegraphed that one to the Bills defense. All he's done this year is turn it over so far. The hate is well deserved. He's stunk it up this year.

Ah theres the Tua Turndaballova that we know..

And at another critical clutch moment as well, just like last week.

133 passing yards on 21 completions.. this guy is a check down machine like i never seen before..

With 3 minutes left and and how well you’ve been running the ball, why are you throwing on 1st down?

Tua should also learn how to read a defense, not stare down receivers, and throw the ball downfield against a zone, or 2 high safety defense.

Well we weren't embarrassed, but like usual just can't get the job done to beat a good team.

I can say, we probably aren't seeing anyone fired this week, but if we don't win more than 1 of the next 4 it's gotta happen.

I even was saying McDaniel was calling a good game.

I'm pissed that freaking Tua blew a great game from McDaniel

Well.. there's the season. There were some things to like though. Dolphins for the first time fought and the game was interesting. McD for a decent part of the game actually wasn't the problem. Too little too late. I'm still in favor of blowing this up. This is year 4 and there are no excuses.

    Good game though.

Lol my take away from todays gameplan is that McDaniels feels that the seat is hot and he will not let Tua be the reason he loses that job early.

Most of tua’s first reads were bubble screens .. he had like 2 backward passes that got his players lit up… and when it wasnt that, he went for his checkdown because he didnt have the confidence in his arm strength to make the throw on tight windows.

that guy should be a backup.. and we are paying him a salary on Mahomes and Josh Allen level

Here is more bad news.. we play two bad teams next.. the Panthers and Jets next…

Which we may very well win, and thatll be enough for Ross to gain confidence in Grier and Mcdaniels..

if we lose to the panthers you HAVE to fire someone.. jets is not a given especially in new jersey but that would also be a bad loss

Agreed. Was a good showing from a team with all the distractions and noise surrounding them. In a way i feel a bit bad for McDaniel the roster here right now, especially on D is pretty awful. It's hard to win with what we have to play with on D, especially in the secondary. That being said though, he's got his own issues, but he's also hamstrung by a limited QB, but he chose to saddle himself to Tua. Something isn't right though, he looks terrible, he can't push the ball downfield, and it's just not good offensively right now and that does fall on McDaniel too. So yeah, it's year 4. Something has to give.

I'm happy with the way this team fought and kept it a respectable, winnable game. I'm happy with the game McDaniel called but I just wish he stuck with the run that last drive. I know Waddle was hot and I felt like they were trying to force it to him.

Zach Sieler blew the momentum of this game, they had Allen stopped three times in a row, that never happens. Tua put the nail in the coffin with a huge assist from the third string guard Brunskill absolutely whiffing on the interception.

Let's see how this team responds with four winnable games coming up. It will say alot as to where this coaching staff has these guys.

A lot of fight in this team tonight, but once that flag for roughing the punter was thrown... although Tua put that final nail in the coffin.

It's time to blow things up and start over. New GM. New coach. New QB.

Again the right decision not staying up to 5am to watch the game. Don’t fire anyone besides Grier and finish the season.

This was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen from an NFL broadcast. 4th quarter, 6 minutes left, Miami could possibly go on the game tying/winning drive, they get a closeup on Tyreek and they report that he has been accused of alleged eight counts of assault or battery. So weird and just odd timing. But again, the Dolphins are always the punching bag for the media.

There's 14 games left, so the season isn't over quite yet. If we won at Buffalo it would have been massive (since we never win there), and we did get blown out the past few seasons @buffalo. So if we put this in perspective, it sucks for sure, but it's still only 3 total games.

My question is whether McDaniel still has a job three days from now. If he doesn't, then maybe the season is over...or maybe the team makes a little run and makes things interesting.

I do agree that he called a pretty good game. The two plays that sunk us were Sieler's punt block attempt (don't blame him for trying) and Tua's poor read staring down his target (leading to an easy pick). If either of those played out different, maybe we saw overtime or won outright.

IMO we played the Bills pretty tight and in a way that indicated the team hadn't quit or checked out. Guys like Chubb and Hill and Waddle put on some solid performances, Ollie Gordon was a breath of fresh air and McDaniel actually called a solid game. Despite ultimately losing, doesn't feel like a performance you fire a guy for.

The thing is that 3 of our next 4 games are against other bad teams. The Jests, Panthers and Browns (with the Chargers making a cross country trip sprinkled in there). If you come out of that stretch 0-4 or 1-3 then I think the move is pretty obvious. But if you end up winning a few, probably buys him until the bye week and see what happens in that nasty stretch against the Falcons, Ravens, Bills again and Commanders. That's the ideal time to make a change if you decide to do it because you have the bye then the Saints and Jests.

For me, the real question is Grier. We simply cannot keep him as the primary player acquisition guy. He has been singularly unable to build a lasting, cohesive and functional team. From favoring injured players, bad trades compounded by worse extensions, bad player evals, draft busts, positional destruction, etc ... he is the primary cancer. However, if the team doesn't implode in the last few weeks of October, Ross may keep him around past the deadline and through the season. Ugh.

Frankly, I'm also a little suspicious that Ross may have given both Grier and McDaniel "leave" to have a bad season while they "reset".

This really shows the true character of just how petty you're being about all this. We have way bigger issues than just Tua. Yeah, he's been horrible. Nobody is defending his bad play. Not...A...Single...Poster. Take your little victory lap around your kiddie track. I'm sorry that Tua is your accident that happened in the rain. Stop compensating for all your self hatred. You wanna listen to the echoes in your tunnel vision towards one single solitary player, go right ahead, but it's getting a bit redundant at this point, don't you think? Again, he was and has been awful. We're three games into the season and things don't look good, but we've seen this team rebound, only to reach mediocrity. It kinda of already sucks to be a fan of this team. Maybe stop fixating on one thing? Tua being the blatant culprit is almost non debatable, but acting like a child (like you are doing), and sticking it in the face of those who have disagreed with you in the past is really lame dude. If we're losing or winning, let's at least do it together. Again, nobody is arguing that Tua is overpaid a$$ so far. Maybe he'll turn an orange into a lime and make a run for the sunset after this season.

Oh man, this is bad. lol.

Everyone in the sports world, be it fan websites, national media, ex-layers, etc, are saying the same things that he and the rest of us have been saying. In your criticism of him, you just listed and admitted to the same exact things that he and everyone else is complaining about. Do you get that? He was the one who was insanely called out for voicing his opinions, opinions that you just agreed with and have expressed yourself lately. Should you have been called out? None of this would have happened. He was unjustifiably called out by someone who is supposed to be a mod and represent this site which is dying because of stuff like this recent lame trolling of a longtime, good member. Res was actually very positive in the game thread and usually is until the obvious ---- ups happens that have derailed our seasons now for decades. It's quite arrogant to say who is a fan and who isn't and what's the correct way to express your frustrations as a fan. Another season down the drain! Wooo! Wooo! Psyched! We're still the best! Woo!

Typical Dolphins. Run the Bills close to take the heat off McD, TT and Grier. We needed a blow out so then even Ross might have been forced to take action.

You got 2 of the top 10 deep threats in the entire league and your qb only averages 4 “air” yards a pass.

we dont have the qb to unlock the offense to it’s full potential. You all have to come to that realization. Tua’s arm strength has regressed every year.

at this point i trust chad pennington to make those throws over tua

Thanks to DevilFin13 and Ohio Finatic for finding this and posting in the club game thread. I was surprisingly entertained by the game, but not really inspired to pay much attention to the aftermath and analysis. Maybe, Tight End matters and is worth an investment...

Kurt Warner doesn't think that Tua did wrong on the INT.

Oh calm down. Don't sit too close to the sun. You'll burn your angel wings off. It was a good game until he Tua'd. I'm totally down with a rebuild. I just think we can all be spared the "Nanahnanahnah, Tua sucks" playground BS. Not my fault Tua went full Brucie this year. It's been a bi-polar 4 years. Where were you when we hung 70 on Denver? Get at me when you can play quarterback for us.

What do you mean his passer rating was good? Yesterday his rating was 81.2 which is way below league average, and his rating thus far this year is 87.1 which is slightly below league average. The rating is capturing his declining play. Don't act like passer rating isn't a good measure of his performance thus far.
