The Panthers waived a couple of players on Tuesday and they announced several other roster move on Wednesday. Wide receiver David Moore and right guard Chandler Zavala have both been placed on injured reserve. Moore injured his elbow early in last Sunday’s loss to the Patriots and Zavala left with a knee injury later in the game. Moore had one catch for five yards and one carry for 12 yards while Zavala started two of the team’s first four games. The Panthers signed running back DeeJay Dallas and safety Trevian Thomas off of their practice squad. They also signed offensive lineman Jake Curhan off of the Cardinals’ practice squad and announced that they have opened the window for defensive lineman LaBryan Ray to be activated from injured reserve.
The Panthers are set to be without running back Chuba Hubbard on Sunday. NFL Media reports that Hubbard is expected to miss their game against the Dolphins because of a calf injury. Hubbard has not taken part in practice at all this week. Rico Dowdle is the No. 2 running back for the Panthers and he will take on a larger role with Hubbard out of the lineup. Trevor Etienne and DeeJay Dallas are the other running backs on the roster in Carolina. Hubbard has 53 carries for 217 yards this season and Dowdle has 28 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Given the NFLs drive to promote any given Sunday...or Monday, or Thursday, or Saturday... it's possible we lose. They did beat the Falcons on the road, which should have been the game that finally got Raheem Morris fired, but lucky for us, he's still the head coach. Offensively we should be able to put up points and hold off any given Sunday..or...
The Fins are the better team, and the Panthers are now missing some really important players. While the Dolphins have been underachieving on offense, the Panthers just stink, and are now without their best weapon, and are down to their 3rd string OG at one spot and backup C. Barring further horrible injuries on our own side, there's no reason that in a 1pm game, we shouldn't be able to outgun them.
The Panthers are clearly the lesser team, so a win won't tell us much about Miami -except they are a bit better than the bottom feeder teams. We do get to see life without Hill though, so I'm hoping that turns out to be encouraging.
Well our defense is terrible, they get a GIFT in a fumble by Young and the whole defense runs to the endzone to show their collective a$$e$ Nothing to celebrate
Yea, but Young DROPPED the ball. It’s not like it was a strip sack. Young simply panicked and Chubb was there to fall on it. Besides… Our defense has been so horrible that they haven’t EARNED the right to be that cocky. Thank the football gods you got that gift and play better. Sorry, that’s just how I feel about it.
He was one step away from a sack. You act like he just dropped the ball for no reason. The pressure made him panick.
Listen, I don’t mean to sound like a negative Nancy. This defense has been so terrible this season that their extravagant celebration just rubbed me wrong. They’re playing much better today but then again, it’s the Panthers.
Okay, yeah... it looks like they've been practicing various celebrations. As bad as they've played up to this game they should be way more humble.
That’s my point. Had they been playing lights out all season, o I get it. You’re good, you’re making great plays, you’re cocky and wanting to show off. But that hasn’t been the case. You’ve sucked all season and you have not one but TWO extravagant rehearsed celebrations??
