Though he was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice, Falcons quarterback Michael Penix is expecting to play against the Dolphins on Sunday.

Penix, who is officially listed with a knee injury, told reporters, “That’s the plan,” when asked if he thinks he’ll be able to go.

Penix added that he’s feeling good now.

“Obviously, at the end of the game, you saw I did get up a little bit slow, but I’ve been feeling good,” Penix said, via transcript from the team. “Just continuing to get better each and every day and make sure I’m monitoring it the right way. But I do feel good.”

Penix has completed 61 percent of his passes for 1,409 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions.

If things change for Penix’s availability, Kirk Cousins is Atlanta’s backup.

I'm going to the game. We took a long layover in Miami on the way to Colombia. Gonna be the 2nd time at the stadium.

Win or lose, it's a great experience and a fun time. Hopefully the team shows up for you but even if they don't, enjoy the tailgating and the South Florida vibes.

I met Bob Sampson who is the guy who dresses up in the wrestlers mask. He invited me to his tailgate. Hope we can meet up.

I've never met him but I do remember seeing him in the stands at games many years ago. You should have a great time!

In your honor, I'll stay up and watch the game live in the Philippines (1AM start). Go Fins!

Tua has a really bad eye infection. His left eye is nearly swollen shut.

Nice play Tua! First time this year they’re playing good football in all 3 phases. Not turning the ball over makes a big difference!

Tua didn’t let the pressure get to his head on that drive and the result was beautiful.

I mean, if this is the version of the Dolphins we get week in and week out, this version could potentially do something even this season

Now we will have the phins fake run and Ross will bring back everybody for next year.
I was hoping Falcons would blow our doors off.

Maybe he should have more eye infections and play more Dome, lol. That’s the Tua I wanna see more often and when it counts, continuity. Damn team why do you always tease us this way…

Listen, what I'm seeing is that Ross is keeping everyone regardless. He likes having only Grier talking to him, and he wants stability in the organization. So McDaniel is safe also.
