The Commanders have already ruled wide receiver Terry McLaurin out for Week 11, but he is taking a step back toward the lineup.

Head coach Dan Quinn said that McLaurin will begin doing on-field rehab work in Madrid this week. McLaurin has missed six games with a quad injury already this season, including the last two contests.

The Commanders have a bye week, so McLaurin could be back for their next game in Week 13 if all goes well.

Quinn also said that the team expects running back Chris Rodriguez to play against the Dolphins after injuring his shoulder last week. Safety Will Harris will also return to practice and open his 21-day return window from injured reserve.

The Dolphins plan to have edge rusher Chop Robinson available for Sunday’s game against the Commanders in Madrid.

Robinson did not play against the Bills last weekend because of a concussion, but he made the trip with the team to Spain this week and head coach Mike McDaniel updated his condition at a Wednesday press conference. McDaniel said “all things point toward a full clearance” for Robinson on Wednesday, who has eight tackles and a sack so far this season.

McDaniel said that center Aaron Brewer and cornerback Rasul Douglas will sit out of practice on Wednesday. He added that he feels positive about the chances of both players being able to play on Sunday.

The Dolphins will also open the 21-day practice window for tackle Austin Jackson. Jackson has been out since Week 1 with a toe injury and can be activated at any point in the next three weeks.

The Commanders placed cornerback Trey Amos on injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday.

Amos fractured a fibula during Sunday’s loss to the Lions.

The Commanders drafted Amos in the second round, and he played 10 games, starting eight. He made 32 tackles and six passes defensed.

They signed wide receivers Robbie Chosen and Jacoby Jones from the practice squad to the active roster. Chosen has played two games this season, catching five passes for 53 yards, and Jones has yet to play in the 2025 regular season.

Jones is an undrafted free agent.

The Commanders are still without star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who will miss the Week 11 game in Spain with a quad injury.

The Commanders also announced they signed wide receiver River Cracraft and defensive end DeMarcus Walker to the practice squad.

I always liked Cracraft when he was in Miami.

The Miami Dolphins will square off with the Washington Commanders this Sunday in Madrid, Spain for the NFL’s final international game of the 2025 season, and while the Commanders are dealing with a plethora of injuries to their players — including their starting quarterback Jayden Daniels — the Dolphins seem to be getting healthier at the right time.
On Wednesday, starting right tackle Austin Jackson practiced with the club for the first time since injuring his toe during the team’s week one contest against the Indianapolis Colts. He remained a limited participant in practice on Thursday as well. EDGE rusher Chop Robinson — dealing with a concussion — missed Miami’s game against the Buffalo Bills last week, but returned to practice for the Dolphins this week and looks to be ready to suit up against Washington on Sunday.

After starting the practice week on the sidelines, Miami’s starting center Aaron Brewer returned to a limited practice on Thursday while he nurses foot and ankle injuries. Starting cornerback Rasul Douglas — also dealing with foot and ankle injures — followed Brewer’s lead and practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday as well.

Tight end Julian Hill also missed last week’s game against the Bills, but has practiced in a limited capacity all week long as he continues to recover from his ankle injury.

We will continue to monitor Miami’s injury reports as they have one more practice in Spain before the bullets are live on Sunday.

I really hope we can win this one. I don't get my hopes up for international games since it's more like a vacation with a football game at the end. I just don't think players go into it with the correct mindset.

If they early, they get lost in the mystic of being in a foreign country and forget they’re there to play a game.

If they go “late”, they are in partial mini-vacation mode since they’ll have a bye and forget they’re there to play a game.

I wish Ross would simply decline all overseas games.

Chosen and Jones. Phins should roll but I don't trust Goodell's NFL on any given Sunday

This team is a head scratcher. Manhandle the Belles and then struggle against the mighty Commanders.

Defensive chess match? Offensive struggle? I think we'll get it together in the 4th. Expect the Commander Washington Football Team to hang around. Mariotta looks good out there.

Winning with a backup QB? It looks like this season peaked with a win over Buffalo. Which is better than some seasons to be fair.

I REALLY wanted to see a Miami run though, at least against the bad teams.

The limitations are showing. Imagine having a QB that could sneak it? Not running it out of shotgun?

Maybe the defense can pin them... nope. Bad tackling? Check. Time for a long Washington drive and another score? Flip the script Miami.

Big mistake not going down in bounds by Achane. Need that TD now, and another stop by the defense.

I hate not having the QB sneak. Instead every blocker has to win from a shotgun snap.

Terrible play calling from coach, I'm still on the fire McDaniel bandwagon.

I don’t see how you could say the play calling was “terrible”. Were there a few plays I wish McDaniel hadn’t called? Sure, especially those damned bubbles screens. I hate that play but consider this…

Of Miami’s 51 offensive plays, 31 of them were run plays. Was the onus placed on Tua to win the game? Nope! McDaniel got the running game going and going effectively. Achane had 21 carries for 120 yards and Gordon had 9 for 45 yards. Was it flashy? No, but it was effective. The only area where the Dolphins lacked was finishing drives in touchdowns. That running game though kept their defense on the field, wore them down and controlled the game.

Now I’m no different than an other fan…seeing a long pass for a touchdown is exciting but seeing how it appears Tua is not the same Tua we saw in 2023, Ill take this dominating old fashioned smash mouth offense resulting in a win over high flying offensive plays that results in losses 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

Defensively, we’re still sucking wind at stopping the run. Washington was able to put up 120 yards rushing, and that’s not counting Mariotta’s 45 yard scramble. The Dolphins D played bend don’t break but if you bend that much against a team that’s as decimated as the Redskins, they’re to break against a good offense that knows how to finish drives.

All in all, a good team win going into the bye week. With the Saints and the Jets on the horizon, Miami may be set for a potential late season surge, but let’s not start jumping up and down for joy just yet.
