why would u trade two runningbacks who average 5 yards a carry? well Ronnie does...Jesse DID. Ronnie and Jesse are 2 pretty good backs to have, the only way i give away Chatman is if someone calls us and offers us a draft pick for him....even if its a 5th! Ricky will be back next year anyway

Improvement is everything stryker, our draft improved, we have starters from it, our team however hasn't.

I can handle losing, what I can't handle is lack of improvement.

And let's keep in mind, our cupboard is barren, all of those terrible drafts are finally coming home to roost in our roster, that cannot be overlooked nor underestimated at all, our craptacularness is happening for a reason.

We haven't improved on the field, we scored a defensive TD, and promptly committed two of the most boneheaded penalties or the season.

I am starting to chalk that up to poor coaching folks, I think I may have lost faith in Cam Cameron as our "guy" at HC.

I'm with BPA, and I think that will be McFadden. Obviously trade down is best option, but worse comes to worse . . . we have 2 TERRIFIC skilled RB's on our team . . . and I wouldn't mind seeing both on the field at the same time . . . both can be split out wide, both were former QB's so trick plays are there . . . u put Booker in the slot with Ginn out wide . . . those are 4 ELITE speedsters and potential playmakers on offense . . . u draft Fred Davis next and get a veteran WR in FA . . . OLine later on . . . the offense is complete . . . keeping Mcfadden is the FARTHEST thing from being a mistake. In fact, its looking like the only option in my opinion

We have young talent on the DLine . . . guys like Solai, Wright, Abe Wright, Roth, Moses . . . to go along with Vonnie and JT . . . we need to get a LB early and roll one more year with this secondary (tho we need to address safety at some point in this draft, CB as well wouldn't hurt).

Draft McFadden, if he is BPA and u can't trade out.

seriously i think its time to play ALL our young guys. our season is well over, its time to let Abe Wright, Rod Wright, Kelvin Smith play. its time to let Quentin Moses, Derrick Robinson, Anthony Alabi, Paul Soliai all get playing time. time to let all the younger guys get in and play a full game so we can see how they do. with that, we'll know just WHO we need to draft this coming year.

Abe Wright is on IR, and Kelvin Smith was cut when the roster was trimmed down to 53 players after training camp. Rod Wright and Quentin Moses have been playing. Soliai was active today. Alabi isn't ready, and I'm thinking we should just get rid of him.

    Worst post today.

    1. Our left tackle is Vernon Carey, not LJ Shelton.
    2. Who the hell is Bill Crowder?
    3. What?

stop being so harsh on the Oline . . . they have had a great season, they finally had a real bad game . . . didn't help that the Jets KNEW we were passing on every down. Lack of a running game and dumb play calling will do that to u.

Yeah, it looks like he's on the practice squad. Still, I'd say keep him there. Greg Camarillo was seeing a few catches today, and we signed Kerry Reed from the PS earlier this year. I'd rather see if Kerry Reed has anything to offer instead of Kelvin Smith.

I would agree if Jason Taylor were 29 instead of 34+ and openly talking retirement.

I guessing his value is more along a 5th possible 4th.

yes this was a terrible game to watch... the defense did everything it could to HELP win this game for the team... unfortunately the offense was down-right AWEFUL!!! i HOPE McFadden is the pick... this team needs more offense... the defense is improving in what essentially is dom capers 1st year coaching the "D" ... in time with some MORE d-line debt this unit could be much improved... in F/A i like Gibril Wilson the SS from the NYG ... he would be a nice fit in miami... i also hope that miami considers signing another WR in F/A like Bryant Johnson of arizona!!! he is a big SURE handed WR!!! unless this team gets MORE PLAYMAKERS on the offense it will be ugly for a very long time!!! i was flipping through the minny and fins game and saw that the viking QB has improved in his 2nd season!!! he looked like he actually knew waht he was doing out there... i think John Beck will grow into a solid starting QB ... we as fans need to be patient regarding the teams QB situation... drafting McFadden will really give this offense a very versatile player.. giving coach cam alot more option on the offense... pairing him with a hopefully healthy Ronnie Brown (when ever that is) it will be fun to watch!!! history suggest that drafting a RB with the #1 overall pick far outweighs drafting a DT with that same pick... i believe only kijana carter was the only REAL bust at the rb position drafted #1 overall... all the other rb's drafted #1 overall EVENTUALLY helped get their team into the playoffs... with ginn, mcfadden, lorenzo booker and beck... it COULD be alot of fun watching this team play!!! lets hope that nothing STUPID is done this off season by the GM!!! and he is able to find 2-3 more starting caliber players in the 2008 draft!!! IMO the teams needs the 2008 and 2009 drafts to be successful inorder to make a push for the playoffs again possible!!!!

Taylor's 33, and one year removed from the DPOY award. There are teams sufficiently desperate enough that they would trade for him in the belief that they can win it all now with his help. Denver is one such team: they're two years and a defensive collapse removed from the AFC Championship Game.

I think u can get a 4th or 5th for Zach, despite his injury filled season . . . I could see a 2nd for JT . . . unfortunately, I think a first was possible before this year . . . but JT is still a top pass rush threat in this league . . . and still will be coveted if put on the market.

Zach shouldn't be traded. Who's going to replace him, Channing Crowder? Yeah, that's working out really well this year. :glare:

Keep Zach Thomas, trade Jason Taylor, draft Dan Connor.

I agree with you Desides, JT does have trade value, I think Charles Haley was traded for a 2nd round pick and that is the sort of player JT is.

Another reason to draft McFadden is the fact that as bad as our offense played today, it is also where we have the most paper tiger talent, up and down the squad, we have spent on the offense.

A McFadden could be the final piece that we need to have at least one strong unit out on the field, that is how the Colts built their team, they built their O, then improved their Defense, but the offense was top flight sooner then the defense was as they spent more of their draft picks when they were bad on offense, and then filled in their defense.

But back to your point, I can see a NFC team that is close trading for JT, Green Bay, Chicago, NY, maybe the Saints.

Nah, I gave up on trading Zach after the 2nd round rumor w/ Denver went down. Zach will be a Fin for life . . . he obviously has been a big part of this defense and outside of a first or second round pick . . . the value isn't there.

JT is valuable as well, but he can still pull that high pick . . . if u get a deal for a 2nd, I think u pounce on it, and then consider Chris Long with the first pick . . . tho I still like the idea of trading down, or drafting McFadden over Long.

McFadden is a no brainer. Trade Ronnie... he will be 30 at least by the time this team can compete. If not McFadden, then I like Matt Ryan and Chris Long.

Or, we could draft Dorsey/Long or trade down. Seriously, I don't see why people want to trade Ronnie Brown. He's the most consistent play we have on the offense. We don't need a running back IMO.

OL has been solid this year.

No running backs made it tough on OL and Beck.

If RB or RW was there, totally different story.

Same goes for the whole f#$%^&*^$# season.

You can never have too much quality on the O-Line. regardless how the line plays this year, if you can get a stellar tackle pick a Boselli,Anderson,Roaf. I don't know if Long is that good of a prospect but i'd have no problem drafting him if he was BPA.

I think Mario Williams is coming along. The pick is going to be scrutinized because Bush and Young are flashier players who'll be seen making spectacular plays. Plus I think that because Williams was more signable it weighed in on their decision.

I'm of the opinion that drafting a running back high is stupid. Other people will make an arguement that because the high rate of Qb failure that taking a Qb in the 1st rd is dumb.

Dorsey IMO is the best player in the country. He is the safest pick. With the decision makers this franchise has I think safe is the way to go.

I love Ronnie, but I don't see him having a chance to win anything on this team. By the time all the young talent pans out, he will be close to 30. I'm all for keeping him if we have a chance but at 0-12 with no good signs for the near future, anyone can be traded.

I think there is a lot of talent being overlooked here thats why i think we go...

1> LONG T ,DORSEY DT ,RYAN QB (DEPENDING ON COMBINE)
2A> CRABTREE WR (GINN CANT DO IT ALONE, AND HAGANS A BUM),BRENNAN QB (I SEE HIM FALLING)
2B> KEVIN SMITH RB UCF ( I THINK HES THE AND BEST RUNNING BACK IN THE COUNTRY )
