Wait until you see how hard he worked for the 175 yards, especially after the catch on a couple of plays. It wasn't a case of one or two big plays; he was an unstoppable force the entire game.
I will be glad to say that I was awed by what Ginn did today...frankly, I didn't think he had this kind of game in him. My question now is, if he CAN do this, why haven't they been scheming more plays to get him the ball before now?
after the Chargers game, Ginn got criticized for avoiding hits and heading out of bounds, but I just shrugged it off. Ted Ginn is aggressive. And it wasn't just today. He fights for the ball in the air and he hangs on when taking a hit. Very impressive.
Almost reminescent of the game Chambers had against Buffalo a few years ago. Ironically that was our last win against the Bills until today.
watched the Ginn play again and I'm convinced he would have scored had he kept running towards the sideline. No way Whitner was catching him. But it's part of the learning process.
that was always BS to me. I've watched Ginn for a year and a half now and he isn't afraid of contact.
Ginn also could have put up a lot more. He was not on the field a lot. Example: Miami Dolphins wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. shows he needs to be on the field -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com
I'm guessing there is a story about a bet with someone who is a Patsie fan, and a Penn St fan. I'm a huge buckeye fan too, but I was happy for the old ball coach of Penn yesterday
He had one game so far in his career that is impressive. I was a big supporter of his last season and was awaiting his coming out party this season but I am holding my opinions until i can see a few good games out of him. I'm still disappointed, out of bounds or not, that again the ball was poked away from him from behind - if that ball had landed in bounds it would have been a massive momentum killer. I hope the guy can hit the triple digits a half dozen more times this season but until he becomes a game changer I don't think he deserves to be the #1 WR.
NFL Video Galleries not to just look at his yards that were a career high for one game but there were some amazing catches in here, too. there were some negative things as well but those can be fixed. if you watched the dolphins post game link I posted in another thread pennington said he learned from someone that WRers take a couple years to develop and you have to have patience with them and encourage them. he named off people like santana moss, jericho cotchery, laverneous (?) coles, etc.
Ted Ginn played like a number one draft pick. I never thought to see a game like this from him. I'm pleasantly suprised. It seems that Pennington is getting some good chemistry with the receivers. And that the light is coming on in Ginn's head. I can't wait til next week!
So you don't call the run backs plus being a third alternate probowler impressive for a rookie on a team that is 1-15? In truth there were only two people that I ever got excited about last year and that was Ronnie Brown before getting hurt and Ted's 3 run backs and his first TD in the rain and mud in England against NYG. All the other stuff about not taking a hit and running out of bounds because he was scared is nothing more than BS to me. He saved Penny's bacon out there today several times. If he doesn't have to slow up because of that wounded duck of a pass on the first play he walks in for six. so he almost stops and then takes a hard hit landing on his kister. Then he's up and doing it again. Also nobody seems to be talking about that whats his name QB, I see.
Whatever, the guys on the radio made it sound like he was rolling around in a wheelchair out there. And before people take this out of context, he was apparently phenomenal today... the stats suggest it. I didn't think he had this type of game in him, but I would love to be wrong about him overall. Now lets see some consistency.
If only that first throw of the game would've hit him in stride he would've taken that one to the house! GREAT Game! Ginn showed good concentration as well as heart! That reminded me of Chambers break-out game against who? Oh yeah, the Bills!
Teddy G baby, all I can say is . . . "It's about time" . . . not even that Ginn had a big day . . . but its about time we gave him the "opportunity" to make some big plays. I have been a big critic of people saying "He doesn't have good hands" or that "He is soft" . . . all myths because of his frame . . . well he proved today that he has the hands and can make the touch catches, and hopefully this is the beginning of something special for Teddy Ginn.
He sure isn't. Even last year he did a great job of finishing every play by laying a hit or taking a hit by the defender. It was one of the first things I noticed about Ginn.
Jaws is a Ginn believer as well. He said on PTI that when the light bulb goes on for Ginn he is going to be a special player.
