Well The Jets beat the Bills by a score of 26 - 17... Our FINS beat the Broncos by a score of 26 - 17... I think the Colts will beat the Pats by a score of 26 - 17 as well! Sounds kind of freaky I know, but I got a feeling...

Regardless of the score in the Colts/Pats game, if the Pats lose, it puts us 1 game behind in the division. With wins over the Bills and Pats already, I LOVE our chances to make a run at the division title!

We held the number 3 offense to less than 250 Yards... Only 7 yards rushing allowed on the day! That is WOW material!

These boys have turned the corner and I feel have just as good of a chance to make the playoffs as any other in this league!

    GO PHINS!!!

We need to get our run game going...if we can do that, and if Chaddy will return to his normal 78% completion rate (which im sure he will) this is a very, very solid football team.

we actually ended up giving up 14 yards rushing to denver today.

what an outstanding stat. i love it. maybe people will start taking us seriously now.. instead of still veiwing us as that horrible 1 and 15 team we were last year, that... really wasnt as bad as that record showed, but thats another story

Good to see the ol' ball coach on the site again.

I think we have an excellent shot of being 6-4 going into a New England game where tey come TO Miami. We need to win at least two more divisional games to have a shot imo. With games in both New Jersey and Toronto still to come, it is almost a must win against New England in Miami. The problem is, I think New England is starting to hone in and work with Matt Cassel rather than against him.

Either way, this team has come a long long way from this time last year.

FITM, so good to see you back on the site :knucks:. I feel the same way, an Indy win and now we are only one game back and a 2-1 division record.

SO fun to finally to see decent football played by our fins again!

after watching the colts pats game earlier

i've picked miami to win the afc east

they're playing the best football in that division, and their qb play looks the most solid.

i'd still say NE is the better home team, but i think miami is the best combo between winning home and road games, and they have the easier remaining schedule of the afc east teams.

if my chargers get lucky enough to fix their D and get to the playoffs, i fear miami more than any other team, they own us.

We may be good enough to squeak into the playoffs, but no way can we make noise in the playoffs unless we:

    1) Mount ANY kind of pass rush other than just Joey Porter. Teams will double him (or double him AND chip him with a RB too) more and more and someone else needs to make them pay for that.

    2) Mount an actual, reliable, moves-the-chains running game.

    That said, we are playi
ng 1000X better than last year and how great is it to be able to discuss trying to win the division? Seriously.

    :)

    Congratulations on the win yesterday.

i didn't get to see the Bills game, which i guess was a blessing in disguise.

The AFCE is up for grabs....

    *sigh*

Shelby, I am nearly as disappointed as you.. I REALLY wanted the jets to lose... sigh.. we will have to continue to improve if we are going to be able to hang with those guys in their house, last game of the regular season.

jcdavey.. welcome bro, we are glad you stopped in, make yourself at home. Most of us here were pretty shocked at the venom and disrespect your fans showed us before our game. San Diego has been my "second" favorite team for years.. that's hard to feel now. Maybe that will change after you dump Norv, and you SD fans aren't so distraught you hate on everyone not you. Good luck no matter.. please beat upon Denver and the raders at every opportunity.

NFC East-schmeese... AFCE is the toughest division in the NFL now...

Seriously, I'm quite impressed with the way this team is progressing. I think playoffs are still a pipe-dream, but they've come a lot further than I thought they would. Just to be competitive in every game (sans the Cards) is a step up from the last few years.

I am still very concerned about the run game...we can't seem to get R&R back on track...look out NFL if that comes to fruition though...I'm equally concerned about the D. They just can't seem to let other teams off the field...3rd down D is horrible. We'll struggle against NE and the Jests with that kind of flaw in the D and I don't think any of us can see us in the playoffs without beating both of them later in the season...

Edit: Where are my manners ?? BTW, nice to hear from you again, FFIM...

If we can play like in the four wins, man who says there isn't a shot. Two other games were closer, and two were just plain bad. We're halfway through, lets see if we can play well for more than two games straight. I'm liking the competition here in the next few weeks, as long as Sparano can keep everyone in check and hungry.
