Would you be satisfied with them as our top three receivers going into next season? I think "as a group" they have the potential to develope into a "very" good top 3.
As long as Brandon London continues to improve and becomes our solid outside possesion reciever. We need a tall reciever like him somewhere on the field. Otherwise Ginn, Camarillo and Bess are making me very happy as a Phin fan.
They still need to attempt to upgrade but we could be a lot worse off. I don't think they should just sit on that group. Bess would be the odd man out right now if one of them had to go IMO.
We could use a blue chip player there. I think Camarillo is the most valuable of the three. His route running is sharp.
As of right now, No. I wouldn't be satisfied with this core group going into next year. But we have half a season to play and they make me a believer. But right now I still think we need that one stud to make a serious push. Almost every legitimate contender has one. Maybe one of those 3 will turn into one, but right now they're not quite there yet.
I think G Cam has solidified himself into at least a #2. Ginn is a #2 as well. They are our leading receivers. I think Ginn can be a #1 with his speed. G Cam. is our #1 right now (on a consistent basis, anyway). If London shows up to play and propels these other guys into hitting deeper routes or maybe YAC than who knows? I think we have a #1 amongst them who has yet to fully show himself. My bet is on Ginn or G Cam.
I havent heard anyone mention it, but that catch was ridiculous yesterday. Ashame he couldnt tap that second foot in. Its been awhile since we had a reciever who could make tough catches like that in the red zone.
I think we should go out and get a legit #1. We will be an attractive option come free agency, maybe we can get Anquan Boldin. He is a free agent right?
I was thinking that too, i couldnt believe he caught that pass yesterday. how tall is that guy anyways, he looks huge. Such a shame he couldnt get that second foot down, that woulda been great for us, and for him. Id be happy with them as a group, because I think theyre good character guys. If we want to be a team contending next year though, I think we need to make an upgrade at WR. we need a clear #1. Im all for keeping Camarillo though, ive really come to love him as a player. He's consistently making catches and getting open.
If they continue to work hard and get better than yes I would be perfectly happy going forward with this group.
They all have intersting aspects that are pleasant to see on the field. And they seem to be fitting in with Chad quiet well. That being said, i still think we need a tall very good anticipating/catching number one wideout. Something in the form of a Boldin/Fitz/Andre Johnson type mould. I don't expect we'll get one easily through the draft or FA but that has to be considered a need in the comming years. Not knocking our three right now, just someone to draw even more attention away from those three. I believe thats similiarily why welker found so much success in NE, he's getting more space to operate with teams so focused on the outside with Moss, if Cammarillo had that luxury as well, his yac would improve in my opinion. YTD i think that group we have has quietly done a solid job, we need more wide out presence near the endzone. Also interesting to see London bring that catch down that was one foot in / one out. I would like to see another opp. for him to see if he can out leap a db in the endzone. That would bring the dynamic our WR core needs and aliviate teams stacking the box against R and R.
Cammy and tedd need to work their butts off in the gym this offseason, two more years and teddy will be the #1 we all dreamed of
Camarillo has done that anyway. What you see is what you get with him. He lacks the quickness and creativity of Welker, does not have deep speed, great size, great strength, or great vertical leap. However he does have some speed (he's not snail low, he's at least as fast as Chrebet was in his time), very good route running, solid height, solid strength (he could improve this even more to make sure he beats the jam), and he has moderate quickness. Overall he is exactly what he's always going to be with some moderate improvement. Ginn Jr. is on the verge of becoming what we want him to be and that's that Steve Smith like "take a slant and go all the way beating the defense down the field" receiver. Still need a third guy though to join that and Bess is there as well. Bess is much more like Welker except he's a more natural receiver than Welker but not as productive. I still think London will really be something.
Agreed, Self...We need a bona fide #1 WR to complete the WR corps...Camarillo would be best utilized in the slot with a big fast guy (like a Fitzy or Evans type) WR opposite Ginn....
