As well as James Harrison has played, JP has outplayed him.

That's people not wanting to pick Dolphins because of who we were last year.

Ha. They even left Kris Jenkins off. What a bunk list...

In favor of Kevin Williams. Don't know too much about the Vikings, but I know Kris Jenkins has meant the world to the Jets

Well, Kevin Williams is a monster, but Jenkins has had the better year to this point.

Its obvious this list has nothing to do with this season.

Well, I have to say Joey Porter has strung together 8 of the most dominant games that I've ever seen. I have to go back to Derrick Thomas in the early 1990s to find someone who has done as much - and even Thomas was a bit streaky.

But that's a good thing. Disrespect the man. If I'm Sparano and Pasqueloni, I'm hanging this up in Porter's locker to motivate him.

You can also bet, regardless of midseason lists, that other teams are well aware of what Porter is doing. We saw constant double teams from Denver on Sunday. I suspect we will see more of the same against Seattle this week.

Some kind of secondary pass rush outside of Porter is the difference between mediocrity and the playoffs for this team this year.

Well, that and a consistent running game, but I digress.

ESPN is a joke sometimes. Actually more often than not.

I agree that Porter should be on the list somewhere but I think the reason they put Harrison on there is because he rotates in and out of games. He has played very well though as you mentioned, I also think that Harrison is very good in run defense. He could possibly be better than Porter at it which is why they have him up there.

I think I probably would place Porter over Ware, but Harrison's contribution to the best Defense in the league has been immense. He deserves his spot.
