I absolutely LOVED these books and can hardly wait to see Twilight. (opens Friday, 21st) I think I'll wait until the wild teenage girls are out of the theaters though. :)

I've never read the books but I've heard they're fantastic.

I love vampires and vampire related information. I'm going to read the books first and wait until the movie is out of theaters.

Definitely read the books first. I'm usually not a fan of fiction but I literally could NOT put these books down. Most nights I was up until 2-2:30am reading. Took me less than 2 weeks to read all 4 books. Enjoy!

i'm looking forward to the movie. I'm expecting to be disappointed however as the movies are never as good as the books.

What do you mean? I'm assuming these books must be fiction. :shifty:

I agree. I've watched all the trailers and I just don't like the actress who is playing Bella. She is not what I envisioned at all! Edward looks fairly close to how I pictured him as well as Jacob, Emmett and Alice. We'll see what the movie brings.

All I know is, the gf is dragging me to see it because I dragged her along to see Quantum of Solace. I pretty much have no clue what the movie's about.

Books written for tweens, like this and Harry Potter, should be avoided like the plague, IMO.

I am not a 12 year old girl, I'm a grown man. So, I am not excited about it, and definitely never going to see this steaming pile...

Shame on anybody over 20 who supports rubbish like this. SHAME, I say!!

Are you people waiting for a Saved By The Bell reunion movie? How was High School Musical 3? Jesus Christ...

The wife is excited for it; she's going this friday nite w/ her gf's while I go to me friend's b-day get-together. Good trade-off, and she knows better than to drag me along anyway.

She's a big supernatural romance fan, so this is right up her alley. I personally don't get it, but since I benefit from it(:wink2:), I'm not going to knock it.

I love a good ol' vamp flick, especially if part of the horror genre...but given this trailer and overall fanbase I've seen leading into this film, it just seems to be more about teen romance fluff rather than vampirism. Definitely think I'll pass on this one. However, I'm sure the books are much better and I may check them out instead.

So essentially all that High School Musical stuff with fangs? Well, as long as it gets her in the mood, then it's worth the $20 + tax.

Welcome to California. She wants to go to the midnight screening on Thurs so it'll likely be $20 for a seat to sleep in.

For really old movies and Ackerman Student Union ones sure. But I don't believe they're showing this particular movie that makes her want to dig her claws in my skin. :tongue2:

I promise you the books are WAY better than any HSM garbage. If you are into vampire themes, which I was not, my guess is you'd like the books. Extremely entertaining.

I read Bram Stoker's Dracula in high school but it's not really my palette. I guess I could read a little bit from my gf's library while waiting in line.

I beg to differ. My 36 year old SIL got me hooked on the books, along with another 30 something friend. I know women in their 70's who LOVED the books and are going to see the movie on opening night.
