    Hey all,

i just got back from eating, actually in berkeley, at a great BBQ place...and guess who was there, Mike Nolan and Cam Cameron. I tried to take a picture, but they were sitting with a group of other men and blocked from a good view. Take it for what its worth...nothing but a great meal....

Mike Nolan and Cam? Hmm. Sounds like a early interview to the SF OC job.

Thanks for the inside info, Michelle :)

Nice report. Interesting. I hope he does well but not against us. At least it's not an AFC team.

Say what you will about Cam, but he's a heck of an offensive coordinator. If the 49ers ever realize that they need talent at wr, then Cameron could really improve their offense.

no disagreement here. Im just waiting for the "we shouldnt fired Cam", or "Parcells made a mistake" if Cam brings San Frans offense to top 10 (hypothetically). Then Ill be laughing

Hiring Cam would be a great decision for them, and Alex Smith. I'm not even convinced they need top talent at WR. They have a hugely talented TE, and RB. Build a solid OL and continue the development of Smith (as Turner was doing), and you've got the making's of San Diego's offense. Maybe not as prolific, but certainly formidable.

On one of the shows yesterday (I forget which one), they said Cam has already told Marty if he gets a HC job, he will come with him. And some think Marty has the inside track at the Ravens job due to having coached Ozzie, they are said to still be close.

Cam in San Fran could be VERY sucessfull IMO....not sure he would have that same thing in Baltimore.

How about Marty trying to get inside Ray Lewis's head? That would be a SERIOUS debacle I think.

Not sure about Marty and Ray. I think it could work. Marty's an established HC, but it would really depend on how Ray views Marty and the post season. If he thinks Marty will never win a Super Bowl, then it won't work. But, if he views Marty's past positively, and thinks he just needs the right situation, then I think Ray would buy in.

Good point. THe knock on Marty never wining the SB is hogwash IMO. I think Marty is an easy HOF as a coach...

Also, I guess IF Ray buys into Marty, then the Ravens as a whole do.

The real question is which BBQ place you were eating at Michelle. Was it Asqew? Technically that is in Emeryville, but that is good eats.

Marty is an offensive guy. I dont see Lewis buying into anything. He's a hothead with an overly inflated ego and just about as stubborn as they come.

Nice little scoop, thanks. Makes sense for Cam to go back to California if he can't land the OC job with Marty. Think the 49ers will look at Martz as a backup plan.

So is Billick. There weren't problems until the team started losing. Marty's always been successful. I think Ray is smart enough to know the HC doesn't have to be his DC, rather just be the leader with a vision to turn the team around. Now, whether Ray buys into the vision and who it comest from is the question.

did you say anything to him? This would be perfect for you to say, "In representing the Miami Dolphins franchise and fanbase I would like to extend our condolensces and congratulate you on the success of your "fail forward fastly" program. Good luck in the future, try the steak, its to die for".

Just came back from the Bay and am going up there next weekend (girlfriend works for farmers and is deployed there because of the storms, stay Dry!). Gotta check out some of these BBQ joints you guys (and gals!) are talking about.

I don't know what I would have done if I saw Cam in San Fran. I dont' usually confront celebs when I see them and Cam is only a mini-celeb so probably nothing but it would have been cool

I wouldnt want people to take pictures of me when i have BBQ rib sauce all over my face and hands...

49ers dont need any talent at WR.

their offense was good with norv turner as OC. their OC(hostler) this year was horrible, which was why they were so bad.

Me neither. When Seau was still in SD about 8 years ago his family came out of a sandwich shop they were eating in, I was outside with my new bulldog puppy, and his kids ran up and started petting him. Seau came out and apologized for the kids and thanked me for letting them pet him, asked me how much the dog was etc. After he left everyone around me was asking if I knew who he was, I said of course, but he's out with his family on a Sunday, he dont' need me telling him who he was lol.

Cam is one of the better OffensiveCoordinators is the NFL,
    just not head coach material
I wouldn't be surprised to see his return to the Franchise
    as the Offensive Coordinator

no free meals with this FrontOffice, produce or parish

always expect the unsuspected with Bill Parcells

who would have thought the return of JT was possible
