As Chaplain to this site, I decided I needed to take this test if for no other reason just to see how it worked. There were a couple of questions I wanted to throw out or answer none of the above but went through with it anyway. Here are the results

    1. Orthodox Quaker (100%)
    2. Seventh Day Adventist (95%)

    26. Scientology (13%)
    27. New Thought (10%)

I highlighted both Mainline Protestant categories because I am not sure how the designers of the test would have labeled the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America of which I am a pastor. On most issues within my tradition I am usually found a little right of center with my professional colleagues and a bit left of center for the denomination as a whole. (Studies have shown clergy in almost all faith traditions are typically "left" of their congregations.)

Frankly, I don't know what an Orthodox Quaker is??? nor am I sure why my beliefs line up so well with Seventh Day Adventists except perhaps for their solid social justice stand?

It is interesting that after the first six, my marks show a dramatic drop off. I would guess that what is getting sampled there is the call to social justice inherant in most faith traditions but I'm not sure.

    Otherwise an interesting excercise.

Your first few and mine were similar. If you don't mind revealing it to the board, what faith tradition, if any do you practice? If you attend worship, what denomination/tradition/fellowship, do you attend? I am trying to get a handle on what the test is actually seeing/measuring?

I don't know that I really have settled into a group. I don't attend organized religion on a regular basis. I know I probably should, but, just have not found one that I felt right in. I was raised Southern Baptist and attended some Catholic services with my Grandmother during my teen years when I stayed the weekends with her. I read the bible often, and have been blessed to share my work office with a woman who is very stong in her faith, attends regular services and bible studies. She has been very helpfull in my trying to understand parts of the bible. (She even gave me a copy of "The Message" when she noticed how I struggled with the King James Version's grammer structure.) I have even sent her links to discussion I see on this board from time to time. I guess I normally just call myself a Christian.

Thank you for your willingness to share a bit of your personal story. I hope you are able to find a faith community that is supportive of you and yours.

While I try and make worship services meaningful and relevant, ultimately I understand worship to be about giving God the praise He deserves simply for being God. I hope and pray you too find some avenue to express your thanks/praise/adoration, etc.

Aslo give my thanks to your co-worker. She is being a living testimony to her faith and there is no higher compliment I can give anyone!

She truly is a living testimony to her faith. I remember someone said "give testimony every day of your life, and sometimes use words" or something close to that. She has really been a blessing to me and big help in my spiritual growth. (By the way she is Seventh Day Adventist and she took the questionaire and hers came up 100% Seventh Day Adventist.)
