Obviously, I'm glad we won. I'm also glad the jets won. Why? Because when we beat them to win the divison in week 17, the stakes will be higher and the victory will be sweeter. I think New England is gonna win out, so the only way we make the playoffs is to beat the jets. So why not beat the jets to win the division in a game where they (and their fans) know that losing to us knocks them outta the playoffs?!?! This season has been wonderful on all levels. Beating the jets to win the division will be icing on the cake!
just cant stand to se the pats win the dvision again. the only good thing coming from that is them having a 1st place sked next year
yes, life would be so much sweeter today had the jets lost, and if the pats loose, which is unlikely. I agree though, it would be great to beat out the jets in week 17 and win the division. Anyone but the pats though. The playoffs will be such a great place without them!
I agree. I want to play them for the AFC East, and if we lose, we lose but if we win it will be even sweeter.
I agree, if it comes down to it, I want to make sure New England can't win the division in Week 17. Of course if they win out it's hard to imagine they won't get a wildcard.
I would be amazed to see an 11 win team not get in though. Something surely will happen where they get in with 11 wins. But who knows I guess.
Is the NFL sure they're basing this years schedule on last years performance? NE should have to play the Titans 16 games in a row.
I agree about raining on Jets parade hehe particularly I'm not worried who makes the playoffs if it's not us. Either Jets or Pats.. I'm not worried because I don't think any of them has a shot of beating Pittsburgh or Tennessee or Indy..... So imo if the bills had won today it'd give us a better shot at making the playoffs, and thats what matters to me right now. I hoped the bills could make it..
They play the exact same schedule as us each year, except for: 1. Two games; and 2. We play them twice. They play us twice. They do not play a cream puff schedule every year.
How does my not wanting the Jets to win = my wanting the Pats to take it? As much as I've enjoyed the drama this season having the Jets a game down prior to a divisional opponent with their lack of skill on the west coast coming up in Seattle it would have helped Miami's chances in the event they don't win out.
That's my reasoning as well. Don't get me wrong, I have no love for the Jets, but I hate New England so much more.
Not to sound negative, but I was upset the Jets won, but what is the point? If we make the playoffs, we won't make any noise. Though we won 7 of the last 8 games, we seem to barely win our games and I am so disappointed in our running game. Don't get me wrong, it's better than 1-13, but I want a lot more.... Is Cobbs out? d-1
Amen brother. I want anyone but the Pats to win the division with Miami being number one of course. If Miami can win just two more it doesn't matter what the Pats do or even the Jets until week 17.
The running game had 98 yards today and the Fins are 9-5. I for one could not be happier or more proud of this team. I was where you were a couple of weeks ago but now I think this team knows how to win and whether they win by 1 or 100 I'll take it as that is how this team is going to be. I remember watching the draft and I believe Kiper said Parcells & Co. were building the trenches so that Miami could compete and win close games and guess what so far that is what they are doing.
The Jets won because they called back a Bill's kickoff TD with about 3 minutes to go in the game. I am sure had the Jet's ran one back under similar circumstances there would not have been a flag thrown on them.
Not sure if it matters right? We have to win out even if jets lose today and next week Posted via Mobile Device
Sorry, I want the Jets to have every loss they can gather. I'm not one of those guys who gets disappointed when an opponent's stars are not on the field due to injury in a prior game, either. I want the Phins to have every legal advantage that may come their way. Guess I'm wierd that way.
No, we'd want the division wrapped up before weel 17 with the Jets and Pats both losing two games. But now that definitely can't happen. Let them win next week for all I care.
No offense but im never happy when the jets win, especially in this situation. But its ok cause we control our fate in the end. We cant look past KC though, theyll be tougher than people think but we can do it.
how can you want the jets to win? to be fair, you could've wished for a tie. that way neither team would win.
I have total confidence that we'll beat the jets in week 17. Therefore, I want them to win the games in the interim, which will raise the expectations of their fans...so they can get crushed by Pennington. I hate jet fans almost as much as the jets.
Sorry man, I've heard this kind of thing before like, "I want Thurman Thomas playhing against us so we can have the satisfaction of our best beat their best". Just a dumb way of thinking when it comes to the NFL.
How is that analagous? And there's no need to call my thinking "dumb". I just want the pain of jet fans to be increased. And no need to resort to name-calling, jack-***
WoW................ Name calling and Boomer isn't even posting in this thread. This has to be a first!
