I'm at the Hilton at the airport Odin, about 25 minutes away are you anywhere near there?

I've stayed at the Hilton, it's really nice ... but the Sheraton is within walking distance of the Stadium. We're not really close. The airport is north of town, the Sheraton is on the southeastern side.

If you're in on Saturday night, you have to go to Arthur Bryant's BBQ while you are in town. It's the best example of KC barbecue in the area. One of my favorites.

I know, but maybe someone else didnt. In some other countries, tickets arent scanned, so people just do what you guys are going to do and those are their tickets INTO the game, so maybe someone was coming from out of country.

I think you guys should be able to pull it off, as long as you never leave your seats, and have to go through the usher again, you dont piss any Chiefs fans off, you dont all go in at once, DUHHHHHH!

I wouldnt do it. I actually like watching games from the upper deck, and I wouldnt risk getting kicked out of the stadium.

BTW: In KC, theyre really strict about Fan Rules. This past year, they made a rule that you cant stand up during games. I doubt everyone does it, but just shows you

Yeah ... KC implemented new rules this year, mainly due to the rivalries with the Raiders and the Donkeys. If you are unruly they can text the ushers to get rid of you.

As long as you are respectful though, you shouldn't have any issues at the stadium.

No, it's true. They are really lax throughout the pre-game warm-ups. Just act like you know where youre going and they wont bother you.

So, how many people total are going?

I'm ready for the game, but it's going to be interesting with being on crutches still  Hope I'll get to start putting some pressure on my leg this week

Forecasts right now are looking like 14 degrees for kickoff on Sunday. If we end up getting any precipitation, it'll play into our hands even more. The more we can steer KC away from the spread offense, the better.

Anyone doing any tailgating before? I might be able to stop by for a few..

I'll be there but I have chiefs VIP tent tickets so I will be in a heated tent with free beer, margaritas, steaks, cheerleaders, etc. I'll be sporting my RW jersey. Sorry to rub it in. :tongue2::lol:

I'm looking forward to the game, despite the fact that it's going to be pretty darn cold.

Guess I'll have to find something to warm me up in pregame .... :shifty:

    1) Happy you guys are getting to go to the game!! Especially you going to your first NFL game Odin!

    2) The chat room won;t be the same without Con and Odin!

    3) If y'all get the chance, go to Gates BBQ! Top notch BBQ.

    4) Have a BLAST!!! Wish I were going! I'll watch for streakers in case y'all get drunk and decide to run across the field to give Sparano a man-hug.

Thats what they all say. A few TD's with thoughts of the playoffs ringing through your head and before you know it your making friends with Quincy at the local lock up. Yeah, that Qunicy - the guy who was wearing clothes when he got arrested, but is now naked as a way to show solidarity for his fellow cellmate. Or, that's his story anyways.

You guys should all have an awesome time at the game. I have been to a few stadiums and Arrowhead gives, by far, the warmest welcome to opposing fans (respectful ones anyways) There is always an open tailgate and everyone shares. And the food, there will be ribs and BBQ and dolphin soup and dolphin steaks. Its gonna be awesome!! I wish I could join you guys there but the Christmas budget won't allow it...unless you guys wanna ge me a surprise!?! As far as Gates goes, that is a great BBQ restaurant. Check our bandanas on Noland Rd as well. Great food there too. And for those of u who are going to their first game, u may want to reconsider going to this one. Once you experience Arrowhead, all other stadiums will pale in comparison!! :) Have fun and dress warm, although it ain't that cold!! Come to Canada and we will show u cold!!

Does anyone know which hotel the team will be staying at? I'm heading down on Saturday night, and was going to try to get some autographs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's Arrowhead in your sig?

And I've been to both Gates and Arthur Bryants, they are both awesome, no doubt.

Mrs. Odin is buying me extra long johns for this game, because we believe it is going to be a cold one!

I know a lot of teams stay at the marriot in downtown KC. There is a side entrance to the stadium where all the players go in that is a good spot to try for autographs after the game. I also met a bus full of cheerleaders in lot G last year! And yes that is Arrowhead in my sig!

that is no way to tailgate in Kansas City. Being out in the crowd is the bes part of the whole day!! Although the free beer thing would keep me there well into Monday morning!! have fun man.

I looked on the weather channel website today and the temp on gameday is now expected to be 21 degrees. Not too bad for anyone who's ever lived in the area - about normal to expect at some point.

Here in KC, forecasts are set for about 2 to 8 degrees at kickoff and windchill will bring it into the negative teens...

I'm thinking about taking my portable grill, but I don't know if I'll be warm enough to use it ... does anyone know the temperature at which Propane freezes?
