I was wondering when they were gonna do this. This is pretty much awesome. I hope it turns out to be a pretty awesome network (give it a couple years and Im sure it will). Yay for Al leiter! Im glad to see Harold Reynolds back on t.v. too.
me too....big fan of reynolds....great baseball guy....good to see him on there, ill be watching for sure!!!
This was announced awhile ago, as Matty V. left as the Padres as there play by play guy for this gig. I wish him the best, along with the network.
Yah, been tracking it as I like to listen to Fantasy411 show on mlb.com. Wanted to post the details now that the site is up. Has anyone received confirmation from their cable provider that its being offered??
50 things to know about MLB Network | MLB.com: News Cool article on the details of the details.... If I could receive one simple wish for Christmas...it would be for the NFL to get its own NFL.TV concept going....they are so missing out with this concept. I love MLB.TV (Mosaic rocks)
Take a tour of the new television home of baseball - Video | MLB.com: Multimedia great video about the set up....
Woohoo...went active....(NOT LIVE)...simply broadcasting similar to website MLB.TV content, but I have it on my COMCAST Station Channel #280. Woohooo...... No HD yet though!
I think it's just a matter of time. MLB has there and the NHL got on board this season. It's a great idea for people that don't/can't get a dish or live in countries where getting all the games live is not an option. Then again, it's too bad the NFL just doesn't let Sunday Ticket go to cable like it is in Canada.
Nice to see my cable company offers this. I'll have to look into how much they charge. They dumped NFL Network awhile back unfortunately
What cable company is that? FYI....just saw a promo that Harold Reynolds did talking about the studios and effort to launch, etc. He stated every image is HD...so eventhough the channel doesnt promote itself as HD, maybe its actually filmed and broadcast in HD? Weird, unlike other channels its not labeled MLB HD or anything like that. Who knows, maybe it is indeed HD???
I love this channel...and it will only get better once Spring Training starts up..... The nightly "MLB Tonight" show during the season from 6pm EST to last game completed is being called ESPNs "Baseball Tonight" on Steriods.
I haven't gotten a chance to watch a lot of it but I have checked it out and I really like it. A lot of classic moment/game stuff right now, but the set up looks great. The on-air talent looks promising. Matt Vasgersian is a good one IMO. And I've always loved Harold Reynolds. It's only going to get better once the season starts.
I agree, I have enjoyed it a ton. I am so ready for baseball this year. I have the extra sports package did anyone have to upgrade or order this directly from there provider.
I've enjoyed it as well. I'm wondering if I'm going to be charged to keep it, and this is just a free trial?
I have the HD package w/Comcast...not sports specific - just all HD non-premium channels, and it shows up under this HD offering...so think I am set. Funny, the NFL network is listed on like 3 different channels but the HD option is the only one I can view...same with Golf Channel. I sure hope it doesnt go away...
What's weird is that right now I cannot record the channel with my DVR. Strange.....I can rewind but not actually set up to record it. Hope that isnt permanent, but wonder why its not available right now.
