This may be an old kind of thread but I'd like to know for which team(s) phin fans are rooting now (and why) after this amazing year, and with jets/pats/bills already out too, I'll happily watch the rest of the playoffs! I'd like to see a SB between the Chargers and Giants..mostly because of Chambers..and I think LT deserves too. And the G-Men are still the best imo so I like fairness. edit: IDK if my english is correct on that thread title, so any mod feel free to plz correct it for me. Maybe "Which team are you rooting for?" sounds better..whatever.. LOL
LT=AntiClutch. Rivers v. Manning would be cool now that there can be no Manning v. Manning. Personally Im hoping either a repeat by the Gmen or the Steelers. I like both as models of organizations, full of tough hard working intelligent people. You dont hear about guys from there being ahead of the team, or if they try to be (Plax) they get shunted to the side. I like both coaches, I like both QBs, I like both Ds. Teams I dont want to see win would be Baltimore (to cocky/cheap imo) or Eagles (just dont like them). I would not be adverse to the Panthers either (wish they had beaten Pats, what a game that was though). The rest Im just meh on, and will simply hope for some excited football!
Rivers X Manning, from the same class, would be very cool indeed, didn't have thought about it I don't like the eagles too. I don't like McNabb.
San Diego - I like Philip Rivers, their CB's, Chambers, and Vincent Jackson is the prototypical ultimate WR IMO. Pittsburgh - Bruce Davis Philadelphia - Donovan's one of my fave QB's in the league New York - They beat the Patsies and Eli Manning's also a top fave QB. Carolina - DeAngelo saved my fantasy teams. Arizona - Love the WRs they have.
Steelers. You can take the girl out of Pittsburgh, but you can't take the Pittsburgh out of the girl. I assimilated when I moved here, but I was in the Burgh during the 70's, yet they are my now second team. (Drafting Dan Marino helped my transition .) I will say though, I don't get so wound up when they win or lose as I do my Fins, but, as they say there, "Go Stillers"
Mike Tomlin is one of my favorite coaches in the leage, and watching that D is always fun. Big Ben is an adventure though lol
The Eagles. Alternatively = anyone in the NFC. Except the Giants. The steelers annoy me to no end and besides that I will not have anyone from the AFC winning because we're not there.
Carolina Panthers, they are the local team and I've watched them since they were a first year expansion team.
Chargers vs Cardinals I think it would be fun to see the 2 teams with the worst records make it. Also, the Cardinals have been so bad for so long that I think they deserve to win one so they can go back to being bad for the next 50-75 years or so. As for the Chargers, I like the scat-back Sproles. I like rooting for the quick little guy.
after the way the Bolts fans talked crap about us I hope they lose their next game. They went from my second favorite to piss on um.. besides, I can't stand Lt or norv I went with my current hero's.. the Geee-men.. last year they won my allegience for some time.
None really, I just want to see some good football through January, if I had to pick I'd go with the G-men, they protected our legacy last year and they're the Jets Landlord.
I put Carolina, because I want to see them win, but Philly would be cool as well. I never want another AFC team to win, ever. I can't do it. It should be us representing the AFC
I don't see why you guys aren't rooting for Baltimore! Firstly, we saved you from being what the Detroit is this year, secondly there's no shame in being beaten by the best, however being outclassed by the team that got destroyed the next week doesn't look so good. But I said before the postseason if the Ravens go out I'm rooting for the Eagles. And it's because I would really love Brian Dawkins to get a ring, in what might be his last season. The man's passion for the game is matched only by Ray Lewis in my opinion. And I believe it would mean the world to him, because he's never won in football. Not in highschool, college, the pros, nothing. And I believe a player of his caliber deserves to stand at the pinnacle of football atleast once. http://www.nfl.com/videos Go to the 'teams' tab, then Phillidelphia Eagles, then Brian Dawkins, then 'super power' if you haven't seen it already. He's a really inspiring man.
I'm not rooting for baltimore because they knocked us out this year. Last year is last year. And the Eagles have a lot of folks on that team who deserve a ring. Dawkins, McNabb, Westbrook, Runyan, Thomas...
I know it won't happen, but I personally think it would be awesome if Zona could go all the way. That's who I will be pulling for. My second choice however would be Tennessee, just because of Jeff Fisher. One of the best coaches in the game today.
i really dont want any of the AFC teams left to make it... i guess id root for SD, the way they pulled back from 4-8, and with LT being hurt, it would be great for them to make the superbowl, and id hate to see Tennessee make it with Kerry Collins, ugh i love deangelo williams, love watching him run, and love watching steve smith play too, so carolina would be fun for me to make it... also love the underdog so arizona would give me pleasure to make it also with the way everyone talks **** about them
From the top 4 voted teams, only the Cards are still in. I hope they get to the SB. I wanna see their offense vs Pitt or Bal
