There is definately precedent for us to make the big game next year. Although both Arizona and Pitt had better talent when Whiz and Tomlin joined them, it does show that it is possible.

I actually see Miami as similar to Arizona in that it has an established Vet at QB guiding a bunch of young guys at a lot of positions. An elite WR would put us over the top... A guy like Fitzgerald would be effective with just about anyone throwing him the ball..

If that were true, Leinart would be starting.

We're built so differently it's incredible. We're just about their opposite at a myriad of positions. We also haven't had the train of high potential, high bust factor high first round picks they've enjoyed. Our young guys are not at the skill positions for the most part (Bess is a slot WR not a future #1). Our best youth players at the 3-4 DE spots and Long. We share little in common.

As far as the second year head coach tag, I could see it but it'll take plenty of improvement. We'd need to retain all the major free agents except Hill, sign a big name, and one solid player, and have a slamming draft with two immediate starters.

The Fins could have hired Ken Whisenhunt or Mike Tomlin instead of Cam Cameron. I wonder if either of them would be coaching in the Super Bowl if that had happened.

Sparano doesnt need hope, he needs to improve the team... thats whatll get us where we want to go, not hope.. but being hopeful never hurt anyone... I hope Sparano gets us there
