You need a program that will allow you to make an animated .gif. You could try GIMP, it's a free program, but I'm not sure if it has that capability. Did you ever get PS?
If you're interested, GIMP and sumo paint are free versions of GFX software that you can use to tinker. GIMP http://www.gimp.org/ Sumo Paint (opens in your browser, no download needed) http://www.sumopaint.com/app/ The Sumo Paint interface is almost identical to PS and there are tutorials there to get you started.
