    BENGALS HOUSHMANZADEH ON THE OUTS?

Posted by Mike Florio on February 14, 2009, 1:18 p.m.

Possibly. Reports coming from the Cincinnati Inquirer suggest that the Bengals may be willing to part with the 31 year old wide receiver. Houshmanzadeh, coming off a down year (for him at least), is expected to be tagged (Florio Blurb: Can you at least tell us which tag it is?) in the next few days and possibly shipped off for a draft pick or two. The move would create a large hole at the wide receiver spot but sources say that the position would be addressed later this off-season. However, the team isn't expected to throw big money at the position in free agency.

Exactly. These tagged guys are so expensive its hard to even find a spot on the roster for them oh and we have to give away good players too.

I'm 30M under the cap including asomugha (who i tagged) so it's not the price it's the picks or players.

    THE LATEST: BENGALS MOVING HOUSHMANZADEH?

Posted by Mike Florio on February 20, 2009, 4:01 p.m.

It was reported earlier this off-season that the Bengals and wide receiver T.J. Houshmanzadeh could be going their separate ways. At that time, it was just a rumor but now it looks to be a real possibility says the Cincinnati Inquirer. The team is asking for a first day draft selection. The Bengals would have a large void to fill if they move 31 year old receiver.

Yeah putting the tag on someone really hurts your team. Look at the Panthers who had to use two tags and may still lose one to being outbid.

Meh, a lot of teams in the NFL used it... it's really no surprise to who they used it on anyways...

I raised the cap 4 or 5 mil above the average... moreso than usual.

yeah... you're misunderstanding what I'm saying... the max cap should have been higher for us... us.. as in the Chargers. It's only fair. :tongue2:
