Matt Forte | Tulane 14. Xavier Omon | NW Missouri State 15. Alen Patrick | Oklahoma I think from here to the combine there could be allot of changes in this list. Chris Johnson who is working out with renowned Trainer Tom Shaw to get ready is one guy that can help or hurt his case big time. With a good Senior Bowl Week and a 40 time that could be under 4.3 in the combine he could move up to that 2 spot or fall down to around 6. Mike Hart is one guy who is not going to be helped my the combine. Unless they add a new test that measures heart his measurables are gonna keep him down but hes a football player and what some scouts seem to forget thats the game you are scouting them for not the Olympics. Outlook for the Phins - I think that with the depth of players available the hopes of someone making a big play for the one spot to take DMAC is hurt. There is going to be some good backs in the third round so some teams that would want to consider it may see all the talent and decide not to
our only hope for a trade down of our 1st pick is that matt ryan really impresses scouts during offseason... and even there, what will hold Parcells of choosing him ? ya never know... (not that i'm on that bandwagon, but everything can happen)
I think there's a decent chance Jonathan Stewart ends up being a better NFL running back than Darren McFadden.
Chris Johnson will probably end up as a receiver. Felix should be higher rated , I would say at least at number two. That said I actually like Felix better than McFadden.
I really like Chris Johnson....he not only has blazing speed and can find the holes quickly at the running back spot, but he also has great hands in catching the screen passes.....I know the Running Back spot is not our biggest need, but if he is around with our # 32 overall pick, I think he could be someone who could make a nice receiver, and he could also be used if we have further injuries at running back.
That really is not a crazy statement Stewart has the size to be a bruiser and has did alot of training on his field vision so he can see those cut back lanes as they develop.
i agree. Stewart has good speed and is a bruiser as u said. That is a rare combination. I like him a lot.
