NFL Network is scrolling across the bottom that Bowles will be named assistant head coach and Pasquoloni will be DC. I wonder if they have those mixed up.
Is that today they are going to get named or in the next day or so? It'd be a huge day for us if we get our entire staff in one day. Yay for the Dolphins!
If that's the case then you know these deals were worked out before the Cowboys season was over. No team moves that fast to hire numerous people
If this is true it's a brilliant move. While both coaches are good, Bowles would seemed to be more in demand around the league. So they locked him up so to speak(his next promotion would be as HC not DC.) Naming Pasqualoni as DC will force Jerry to name him Assistant HC in DAL.
wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall when porter tries his fit in front of the team on sporano? holy moses sporano wouldv'e had him whacked and not by a guy named vinny. i can't fathom sporano making many of the same decisions that put cam in the unemployement line. i have faith that sporano will also not lose favor with this team. it helps to have someone with intimate football player/personell knowledge to help out our new coach..that is something cam needed here..someone to step in and say hey..lets think that through fella.
Jerry really can't do anything because their contracts have expired. They are free to go wherever for any position. All along, we've been hearing Bowles for DC. I just wonder if NFL Network is wrong or if Pasqualoni really is the guy for DC.
Wont have this problem with Sparano as coach.. Players and People in general speak out about people when they do not have their respect. From EVERYTHING we have heard he is a players man. They Love him, they repect him and his work ethic, and he has passion about Winning. He has a committed organization behind him and Im sure players will take a wait and see approach as thye have been screwed before, but I think this time it will work out.
Jones said he will match any offer made to Garrett. Not that this post has anything to do with Garrett but just sayin
wow, how's this for an endorsement - from espn... http://myespn.go.com/blogs/hashmarks/0-5-69/Who-is-Tony-Sparano-.html
There hasn't been anything official yet because Sparano isn't official yet. NFL Network is just speculating at this point.
That's great stuff. Mosley also wrote a couple of weeks ago about Ireland and how that was a great move. Guy sounds like a bit of a Cowboys homer, but he's very informative and has a great understanding of the game.
Even better... what the **** are you looking at, do you wanna get whacked... So cool to have a head coach with mob connections now... During gametime 2008: Announcer: Beck drops back, 50 yard to Ginn..TD Miami Dolphins. (Crowd goes wild) Referee: Holding, offense Announcer: Oh no, its coming back.. After the game: 6 oclock news reporter: The body of the referee who called the Miami Dolphins football game today has been found in a garbage can by the Miami Dade Police Dept. The police have not ruled out foul play and have traced the murder to an individual with mob ties.
As I recall Cams players in San Diego had nice things to say about him. That makes no difference. Everything you just mentioned was Cam Cameron before be became a Fin. Not saying he wont be a good HC, but swaping one rookie HC for another is a big risk.
i agree 100%. i was attempting to comment on another poster that ask what the difference in first time coach cam and first time coach sporano but apperently i did something wrong and it didn't show the quote. i have no doubt that sporano will have no problems earning our players respect also not letting things like the porter incident get out of hand. it's refreshing to have a hc with a certain part of the male anatomy on him and not in someone's purse(no offense ladies.)
i know what quote you are referring too. I think I commented on it too.... The difference between Coach Cam and Coach Sparano is that Coach Cam is coach Cam and Coach Sparano is coach Sparano...
I am excited to hear we have Tony Sparano as our coach. He looks like he has a little more intensity on the sidelines compared to Cam, and I think having a guy who was an OL coach is a good thing. Hopefully we can keep a coaching staff together for a while and build on the decent players we have, and cut loose guys who are just around to earn a paycheck. Can't wait for the Draft and the start of the 2008 season.
