Love this hire so far. After the last few coaches this guy really seem to get it. Saban had coach speak and tried to sound good, but Tony seems like a football fan and not a status guy like Saban was.

Tony sounds like he speaks from his heart and tells it like it is. LOVED his quote at the end. Basically said that the one thing he knows is his team will be in shape. Said stamina is the most important thing he knows and that is for the long haul. Not 16 games in shape but 18-19 because that is what it's all about.

Tony sounds like someone you want on your side and if you cross him your done. Might not be forever but people will have to earn his respect back and it might take a while.

The other great line was about rookies. Said you shouldn't have questions about 2nd year players. Shouldn't have to ask if he is good enough and question their ability after year one. If you do than you didn't do your homework.

My personal opinion is that this last years draft will be very good in terms of getting this team to the next level especially with the coaches we will have in the building. Cam and Saban seemed to tell people what they wanted to hear and impress the owner. Tony might be but something tells me different. We've a FOOTBALL FREAK for a coach who eats and sleeps football and knows what it takes to turn things arouns. Didn't realize he was part of coaching staffs that started out year one in the NFL with Cleveland and Jacksonville, than Washington and Dallas.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE GOT A FOOTBALL COACH. !!!:ffic:

I agree that stamina and getting the team in top shape is vitally important to success especially if your fielding a team with less talent and I think that is one of the legit complaints against creampuff Cam, and his easy camp. However, when i watched the Dallas, Giants game I saw a lot of big old fat Dallas lineman with their hands on their hips sucking wind in the 4th quarter while Giant D lineman assaulted Romo play after play.

Let's not get carried away. People said the same thing when Saban and Cameron got hired.

We won't know if "Tony is Awesome" until the Dolphins they play some games (and he wins them).

Very true they did get gassed but Tony let them have it. I had NY winning that game in my pool simply because of the Miami Dolphins. Don't kind your self if all the Garrett, Sparano and all the asst. coaches leaving didn't cause a distraction. Throw Romo and Jessica in the mix and you have issues. It also appeared that frustration set in with players and not having their heads in the game. Romo got frustrated and some of his teamates appeared to frustrated with him to. Very big game and Romo playing the way he did rasied questions to his commitment to them.

Leave and learn, might not have been Sparano's call on letting Romo and other Cowboys go Cabo during the their week off when they needed to be focused on their opponent and staying in shape. From what I read and heard on tv is that was Wade's fault and with Sparano and others gone old Wade gets exposed next year.

He's not awesome quite yet. Remember our past two hires? I'd prefer to hold off on anointing him until he wins some games.

Tony defitnetly knows how to talk. I loved his Press Conference and he did say allthe right things, but we have to see what happens. One thing that I did loved was when he said he will be as good as his players are. I have never heard a coach say that, its something very few people realize. Coaches are as good as their players and im glad this guys understands and is a huge fan of the game. I hoping we finally got our guy and are headed in the right direction......

I agree with others . . . we loved Saban and Cam at first also . . . I need to see results before I judge anybody. First thing to judge is the draft, then preseason, then regular season . . . I will respond again in about 10 months.

Your better than most of us, won't last 5 minutes after the next move, whether coach or player!
